The Jabonman Pepperilla Shave Soap face-lathered very well with my Jayaruh #28 two-band finest badger brush. Two passes with my Pal Adjustable Razor and a Personna Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. I was a little cautious about using the Pal after reading about it. I expected blood. However, I opened it wide open today, and no blood. That is a good thing. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The VDH boar brush made quick work of the Williams producing a very nice lather.
My Old Type OC and Wilkinson blade mowed down my stubble effortlessly.
The Clubman A/S finished off my shave leaving my face smooth and clean.
So another BBS shave is in the books which = ONE HAPPY ILTS!!!

Superb Menthol Monday
Krampert's really came through vs. two days growth. The lather made by my Brothers Bristles Spartan Bronze brush was thick and yogurty. Der Futur made easy work of my stubble in this drama free BBS. I had a little left in my Krampert's Frostbite flask, so I enjoyed the cool skincare.

Not quite as baby smooth as Saturday, thanks in all likelihood to the blade getting marginally duller, but still a DFS+ result. Easy, plentiful lather with the remnants of my GG puck combined with the mild Black Handle SS to make for a comfortable morning shave.

 

Not even a professional barber could have shaved me closer than this - my new Derby blade cleaned me up so BBS and I enjoyed the intense freeze from the Glacial Wintergreen trio so much!

Nice chilly shave this morning. Saw the blades in the local Dollar General store and thought, "What the heck" and got them. Package says made in Viet Nam. The blade actually works pretty well, not the sharpest but very smooth for me and gave an nice shave in the New razor. Not a big fan of the Pur-Tech brush though. This one feels a little scritchy and doesn't splay for beans. Not a bad brush, just not one I like very much. However, having said all this, got an overall nice shave and I"mm ready to go to the dentist. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Great shave this morning. I am really enjoying my Haslinger soaps.

 

Haven't decided what to focus on next, so it's just an ordinary SotD today



- RazoRock Mudder Focker
- WD 24mm High Mountain Badger
- Gillette Tech Head on custom stainless steel handle
- Feather blade (#2)
- Speick Men After Shave Lotion

The RazoRock Soap is a sample I got from Shavedash - I really like it. Pleasant scent, great performance and a nice post-shave feel. The WD is a very good brush - had the knot set a little lower for some nice backbone, the soap lathered easily and in abundance. 2 passes WTG and X/ATG, after that I had to do a little more touchup work than with my Mühle R89 and the GSB blades. Still a great shave, very close to BBS (forgot one or two spots on my neck). Feather and Tech seem to work pretty well together.

Finished with a cold water rinse and some Speick After Shave - very good stuff.

Irritation A+, closeness A (A- in some spots).

An odd shave, considering the aggressive nature of the Red Tip, and the sensitive nature of my skin. The shave was not as close as I like, but I didnt get one nick or weeper. I always get nicks and weepers! Thats a trade off I'm willing to make. Not even a bit of sting with the Clubman.
