Let's see those shaves for the week! As always, bonus points for pictures.

I have my gear set out for tomorrow, so I will get it started. I just got the 4711 in the mail, looking forward to giving it a try.

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Cream: Geo. F. Trumper, Almond
    Brush: Vintage Hoffritz, Super Silvertip
    Razor: Gillette Fatboy, named George
    Blade: Israeli Personna, Day VII
    Balm: Cade

Turned out to be an outstanding shave!
The Israeli Personna was on it's seventh shave and probably could have gone on to
one or two more, given the wonderfully close and comfortable shave this morning.

Trumpers... Might be the nicest lather I can create.

    Good morning everybody!

My first shave of this week was exceptionally smooth, considering that I hadn't shaved since Friday (my wife called me 'hairy Monster' last night..)

The set-up which took care of that part of facial grooming was the following:

    - Calani 'Purissima' shave soap
    - Jack Black Pure Performance shave brush
    - Feather AS-D1 razor
    - Astra Superior Platinum blade (2.)
    - Acqua di Parma Lozione Tonica after shave

    Menthol Monday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/Voskhod day 3
Gada Cool Mint SC :love008 :love008 :freezing :freezing
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
Barbon AS :love008 :love008 :freezing :freezing

This shave is as perfect as you can ask for a Menthol Monday. The Gada cream has a dynamite cooling effect, and the Barbon aftershave can out-freeze Mennen Skin Bracer 10 times. ;) :)

Last night I accidently came across one of the Mantic videos on the basics, so for fun and a few laughs I checked it out again...

Well yesterday due to time restraints and sleeping late-no morning shave...this extended into the point in the evening when I made the judgement call to wait til today and have that two-day growth that can be so much fun to shave...

Today as I get ready to make my first stroke I notice my grip has changed. It doesn't look like I'm throwing a dart, my pointer finger has moved so the finger tip is pressing straight down on the razor.

This Schick is so easy, foolproof, and forgiving, that it doesn't matter, but for fun, this morning I wanted to follow Mantic's directions to the letter. It was fun and in the 1st pass I found two places where I've drifted a little...So after one pass, with a touch of skin streching and razor buffing, I had one Barber Shop BBS...IN ONE PASS. No need for anything else. But I had a mountain of great lather on my brush so I did one ATG pass also just for fun, and followed Mantic's directions to the letter...

Face rinse, and this might just be the best shave of all time. So very close, and the skin really feels like a blade has not touched it, and no need for any touch-up. I'm giving a thorough examination, because I want to do a touch up pass, maybe somemore buffing or J-hooking. I've got the time and I'm having fun...But alas, there was just not a stub to be found and my skin felt so smooth and soft.

I've said this before but for the record, contrary to some of the PR, Injectors can provide a shaving experiance that is fulfilling from a nostalgic perspective, aswell as getting the best shave possible, and just having a blast while doing it...:)

Shave couldn't have been better, on any level...Just wish it wasn't over...:)

Lloyd, you sure know how to take a great shave. Me, I cannot do skin-stretching, because I cannot tolerate the agony I experience if I attempt it.

Jeff, you're one of the heaviest cats at knowing how to get a great shave...You have forgotten more than I'll probably ever know...:)
Its because of You, Stingraysrock/Jeff, and Bill, and all the generous help and advise that friends here at the Den have given me, that I'm getting the greatest shaves of my life and having the best time doing it...My sincerest thanks !!!

Pre-shave Soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: EJ Chatsworth
    Blade: NOS Gillette Bleue Extra
    Brush: EJ Best Badger
Cream: Erasmic (in the metal tube)
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes & Peppercorns

A great shave this morning, even though I was in a bit of a hurry--had to take my car in for service and like to get there when they open. The Gillette Bleue Extra is very smooth and sharp--not better for me than, say, an Astra Superior but it's right up there. No nicks, no weepers--a very close, smooth, and comfortable shave.
