    Hi Friends,

Midweek Shave. Here is what i used today:

Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89 // Blade: Derby Premium // Soap: Figaro Noir // Brush: Omega 11126 // Aftershave: Bello Bay Rum Lime (mentholised)

Maaaan, this Razor / Blade combination was wonderful. The blade was extremely sharp, gentle and thoroughly in this Razor. What a great shave. The blade had it´s second use and it feels sharper than an Astra without being gentle to the skin. A big surprise for me. Looks like a very fine blade to stock up.

Hope you are doing well. Enjoy your shaves and take care.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

Delightful shave this morning with the Vintage Williams. This soap is superb. Everything else fell in place and all is well. So I'm ready to go. Now go enjoy your day folks.

A good shave, not great. I used the dorco prime and it was a different experience than I thought it would be. The razor is fantastic as well as the soap. Overall I'm ok with the shave.

The Bacon Lord gave a little love to my Greaves wedge and I got to try out the results this morning. As a good omen, the lather and brush came up perfect as I got ready for the first pass. By the end I had a super close shave with very little noise from the Alum. It seems that, for me at least, the wedge is gentler on the face but requires a little more angle to get a really close shave. Yes, face rubbing goodness all around. :happy036:

I love wedges for two reasons:
    1. The silence of each pass
    2. The solid feel of the thicker blade allows me to 'press into' the shave a bit more with confidence (no perceived flex to the blade). Full Hollow grinds have a dramatically different feel to them compared to true wedges. Given a choice of a big chopper (7/8 or larger) hollow-ground or wedge, I'd be inclined to grab the wedge!

Note: Personal preference here as other's experience may differ.
