Perry....I hope you don't mind me asking a question. I have recently taken possession of an M2 and have yet to use it. Is there a recommend setting when installing a blade?

    Sunday morning:

    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Derby day 3
    RVT Frosty Bay Rum SS
    Prep ASB
    Pinaud Bay Rum AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

This Frosty Bay Rum soap has one of the nicest scents I’ve ever smelled - it’s spicy and clovey, the lather gets so rich as well as slick so the blade was skating across my face, and although the menthol sensation is not overwhelming, it’s still very noticeable. The scent of the Prep somehow goes so well with this, or any other bay rum soap and it felt so good to massage it in to my face. The Pinaud Bay Rum aftershave smells old school the way I love it and it feels great after the two seconds of stinging. I’m going to get a haircut today and I’ll make my barber eat his heart out when he sees how BBS I am!

    Have a great Sunday![IMG]

I've been shaving with @twhite 's TAR this week, but Sunday is for lather catchers. The CTAPT Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #340 badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher razor with a C.V. Heljestrand Wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Yes... Sartorial is great, but, if i am not wrong, you complained about scent lasting...
    I am satisfied with it.
Of course, after a while you get use to it and cannot smell it any more: this is the reason why there are inhabitants in Rome, Paris, Washington D.C., etc.
They get used to politicians' smell...

And the Zenith, notwithstanding a very reasonable price is very efficient!

    Sunday Vespers
Superb shave. Vespers is a rich, deep scent with notes of cardamom, cranberry, and mousse de Saxe. It is a cousin of Lavanille as they share that last note. Vespers is warm and classy, perfect for cooler months, but I wear it all year.

Another successful shave this morning-this time with Stoylin Sandpiper(A.S. and Shave Soap). I'm still waiting to see if there's a Stoylin scent that "jumps out at me" faster than did the Sandpiper. Lovely scent. These soaps from Doc Ezlovan&the crew will last a reaaaal long time(the 5"8's that is). But as for the shave itself, nothing too fancy about it-no cuts(I'm on a roll here with this!), 2 healthy passes, great skin feel(as with all Stoylin soaps I imagine). Sandpiper is definitely a scent I will buy again from Stoylin, but I have a long way to go before that. Most Excellent.

I don't think there's a setting that matters when inserting a blade. I leave mine on 8 all the time and haven't thought about changing it in order to insert a blade. Congrats on the razor! I really enjoy mine.

First full shave in 5 months. 02 February 2020

It's like this here fellers. Me and the little woman was lookin' fer houses down in east Tennessee back in August of last year. One of 'em was sitchiated in Cocke County where it's said that a rascal by name of Popcorn Sutton was runnin' moonshine nearby. Well, I looked that boy up on the internet and man did he ever have a bushy kind of countenance about him. So I figured, heck...I can grow me a beard too and be fittin' right in, in these neck of the woods. So sure nuff I did. It was OK fer a while, but then it got to be a kind of pain what with food and stuff sorta hangin' around if ya get my drift. Plus I come to the realization that I ain't in Tennessee no more seen' as how I'm up Philly way.

So last evening, my wife used an electric barber trimmer and got it down to a two day stubble. This morning I shaved and I must say gentlemen, I feel refined, refreshed, renewed and somewhat re-entered into the world of the well groomed. I will now sally forth and face the day with the confidence that can only be achieved when one is smooth, scented and secure.

Before and after pics for your general amusement.
