Although I’ve become mainly a soap user there are still some creams that I love and the Palmolive Menthol is one of them. I always enjoyed the fresh, minty scent which fills the bathroom, it’s such a pleasure to lather up with, the menthol sensation is awesome, and it gives so much soothing as well as moisturizing - definitely one of the best budget products available. The Prep always gives me wonderful postshave care, and the Aqua Velva Sport aftershave smells great not to mention how icy cold it is. Three passes did me proud - what a fabulous BBS shave this was!

Two passes and touch ups with the Superior Lather Catcher and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Here my Shave of the Day (22.01.2023)


Razor: Rockwell 6S on plate 3 // Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra (5) // Soap: Declaration Grooming Massacre of the Innocents // Brush: Shavemac 173 // Aftershave: Jabonman Rose ASB

This shave went off the charts. Wow…Rockwell on plate 3 and the Bleue Extra with it´s 5th shave…still cutting as when it would be new on the first shave. Outstanding. I think i will make a challenge of it…how many good shaves with this blade. Sounds good to me…

The lather was created lightning fast in a rich quality. Glide was very good and the skin care too. 2,5 passes for this Baby Butt Smooth face. Used my Rose Aftershave Balm from Jabonman since a long time because the scents does complement each other very well.

Great great shave.

Schick Sunday Shave, January 22nd 2022

Razor : Schick injector i2 with Hydro magic- mild to tame mid range, very well designed with the hydro magic used for a better rinse, built to last a few generations + a daily driver for some folks. Very enjoyable shave this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE (8) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Razorock Irish country side, nice unique scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka express" 26mm 2band badger, excellent lather paint generator, big pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. If a person likes a wider handle + big knot this one works well IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Country side with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Schick injector i2 with a coated Schick blade.

well, the Hoffman's is another of those soaps that is an absolute pleasure to shave with.. easily enough lather for 5 passes, so I did, because I could.. yeah, a real pleasure.
