The Proraso Green Shave Soap lathered well with the Semogue Owners Club Boar Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the SlimGem 3D Injector Razor and a Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

For the first shave of the year I had to bring out a wonderful vintage head. It works wonderful with a heaver handle and shaves like a dream. Gillette had this shaving thing figured out years ago and it is amazing on how much DNA from this head is in our modern razors.

GEMonday, January 1st 2024, All the best in the New year!

Razor : Gem push button- Mfg 1958-65, tame mid range. I always like the color of gold and black appearance looking razors , this little razor works well and design is not the best for blade clamping (at least with my razor) so I added a shim at back.
Had a close wonderful comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(6) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Wild rose(6) nice scented rose scent 6-7/10 strength with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi" black marble" 24mm 3band silvertip badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + great lather painter. The splay on this knot is huge with a nice handle makes it a joy to use.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber AMICI with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my ASR GEM push button razor with a coated Gem blade.

A wonderfully nice shave to start the New Year. I picked up the No Name razor/brush a little while back at a local street fair. Thought I would support the local vendor and what a nice surprise these turned out to be! Both work very well for me and the Suneko blade is also a nice surprise. Had heard good things about them and decided to get some to try out. Glad I did too. They are sharp and smooth, good combo in my book. Really enjoy the Dr Selby 3X SC although it should be called a soap. Regardless, it works great for me and has a very pleasant scent. So all is well and my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.
