Here is my first Shave in 2025 (01.01.2025)


Razor: Pearl Flexi // Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra (14) // Soap: MWF // Brush: Deer Horn Synthetic // Aftershave: Witch Hazel - Floid Genuine

I hope all of you are fine and doing well. Hopefully all of you made it safe to 2025.

To start the year i thought which soap could be THE best to kick off 2025…and the winner is: Mitchell´s Wool Fat.

An absolutely right decision. The scent, cushion, glide…what a heavenly soap this is. A 20 second load was more than enough for 2,5 joyful passes with the Flexi on setting 3. Can you believe that today was the first time that i used this fantastic razor with the Fat? Unbelievable, isn’t it? Such a great combo.

Some Witch Hazel and a healthy dose of the Floid closed out the shave. Smooth and refreshed. I had a blast my friends.

The Williams Mug Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #1 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette 1905 Double Ring razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Perhaps I’m feeling a bit better today but I still don’t feel great. Another sad thing is that today is the first anniversary of my Mom’s passing. This morning I wanted to enjoy a shave with my favourite cream - it gave me awesome lather as it always does, the menthol sensation was so delightful, and my skin felt so soothed as well as cool. The Prep added plenty of extra moisturizing and soothing along with its own menthol cooling. Finally the Polar Ice aftershave went on with its beautiful old school barbershop scent that I love so much. Three passes cleaned me up so well - another splendid BBS shave to start off 2025.
