The Vintage Spice was a recommendation from @Yehuda D. It’s got a very pleasing scent and is a great soap. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it :happy088:

I had a feeling @Yehuda D had something to do with your soap :). I don't have the Shulton A.S. to match, but I have two Old Spice clones to try.

Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Arko Comfort A/S Cologne./Nivea soft moisturiser.

    Greetings,

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

Every thing in my shave set up this morning worked together wonderfully resulting in a close comfortable shave.

The Vie-Long horse hair brush performed superbly. I find that with horse hair brushes painting on the lather gives the best shaving results when using shaving creams or croaps.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea soft moisturiser.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

    Hi Friends,

Here my Shave of the Day (12.01.2025)

    Photoroom_20250110_124809.jpeg
Razor: Stando Chors Copper // Blade: Gillette Platinum // Soap: MWF // Brush: Shavemac // Aftershave: L´Erbolario Ginepro Nero

Just a terrific shave. The razor is definitely on par with the Blackbird, but smoother and a touch more gentle. 2 wonderful passes. The soap performed stellar as well.

What surprised me the most was the Aftershave. Scentwise it is comparable with Terre D´Hermes. Perhaps not as powerful and as nuanced, but still goes in this direction. After applying it to the face the texture has changed from watery to almost milky / cream like. Like a light balm if you would call it like this. I never had that in an Aftershave before but the texture was outstanding. Skincare is maybe one of THE best i ever had. I am blown away.

So i had a very very nice and enjoyable shave.

    10 of 10

Take your time, enjoy your shaves and stay safe and healthy.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

The Proraso Green Tea and Oatmeal Shave Cream lathered well with Semogue Excelsior 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher razor and the C.V. Heljestrand Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Sunday morning:

    Hot shower
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Junjie/Wilkinson day 5
    Scheermonnik Soek SS
    Lubriderm Moisturizer
    Proraso Red AS Splash

Although the Junjie is a relatively mild DE it can still bite you if you’re not careful and that’s what happened to me - two nicks on my neck. On a better note the Soek (Dutch for market) is a lovely scented soap from the Netherlands, the lather is terrific, it’s quite slick as well as cushiony, and it has a very comfortable postshave feeling. The Lubriderm moisturizer is so soothing, and the Proraso Red aftershave went on with a bit of a sting along with its beautiful scent. Overall a great three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed a lot!

Wishing you all a nice Sunday - be well and stay safe![IMG]

    ASRazor shave, SE Sunday

Razor : Everready 1914(Little lather catcher or LLC). Mfg 1914-17, mid to upper mid range. Well built to last generations, This is the earlier model because the blade stops are the generation 1 type. Great audio feed back for my shaving enjoyment.
Blade : Gem Personna PTFE(7) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock blue barber, very enjoyable cologne scent, it mimics some type of clean scent that takes a few shaves to get use to.
Brush : Yaqi "artic sky" 24mm 3band badger. This knot and handle are just great for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Blue Barber with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : Dial 10 stellar.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Ever-Ready 1914 razor + a coated Gem blade.
