I've been using the same razor and blade for a week now, something I've never done. The Damaskeene is just that razor and blade combo for me. These thicker blades last longer on my aging greying beard than do double edge blades.

The TABAC Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #81 silvertip badger brush. I did two passes the Cattaragus Straight, and clean-up with the Enders Speed Shaver. I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Is time to give this baby a spin Parker Variant Adjustable ordered this last year 5 days early before Christmas, and is too early for me to give a review on the Parker Variant Adjustable and the weight felt bloody good for a spin.

Stirling Black Cherry shaving soap smell like Christmas again strange wonderful smell on my nose just a little bit sharp of dry Black Cherry, would be nice to add brandy into the soap would give me a wonderful early kick of Christmas again.

 

You got me there bud. Even after looking it it up on wiki the other day, I could not tell you. What I can say is that Doug hit the head on nail with this and it smells exactly like moist dirt! It is nice, earthy, and fresh, but dirt. It surely isn't for everyone, but I at least really like the scent from the tub. I'll see tomorrow morning during the shave, but it is hard to imagine it won't be great. I'm looking forward to it.

Three days left in January. Another fast month, or so it seems. I'll finish up on the Feather SS to complete the shavette theme, and use the Feather Pro blade. I still had one loaded up from the last time I used the razor but don't remember if this is the 2nd or 3rd shave on the blade. No matter. These blades easily go 7+ days. I'm sure it will go the next three.

The Semogue and Fat for a room filled with lather. Slick and very cushiony and a great feel. Even though I haven't used a pain stick for a bit I found the start to be automatic. Makes me happy that I don't have to think as much to start a shave with this razor now. Automatic angle and first stroke to get things started. Two full passes to a very nice DFS with no blood or other problems. Alum was just a bit warm but nothing out of the ordinary.

This shave was good enough that it sparked my interest in obtaining some other AC style razors at some point. I could see myself switching completely to this style at some point. Not sure when or where that point is but that may be in my future.

My weekend has arrived so I'll have some time to fully catch up around here. February thread will be up late tomorrow night for you early birds out there. I hinted at the theme last night - anyone have a clue yet?

A truly wonderful shave this morning with the PAL Adjustable injector razor. This Speick shave cream is such a wonderful performer. Consider trying it if you haven't already. Three passes for a refreshing dolphin smooth finish. Enjoy your day friends.
