After the relatively-low menthol presence of my last shave I'm going to really lay it on thick and freeze my face properly! ;) :D

    Dove Men Face Wash
    Cella
    Jayaruh #10 Synthetic
Gillette English NEW LC/Brass Punch Handle
    Rapira Super Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Cucumber WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

The Cella Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #10 Synthetic brush. Two passes with my Gillette English NEW LC razor and a Rapira Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and then Pinaud Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Omega Pro 98 boar brush

    Two passes plus touch-ups
Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm

I'll move the FB up to 7 tomorrow. Two-pass shaves on 5 are consistently near BBS for me. This has been a fun razor to use and admire. I will likely finish out the July focus with it. I may change up my brush and soap later in the month for some variety.

    Have a great week!

    MENTHOL MONDAY - 7/13/15

    Razor: Ikon Shavecraft 102 Slant
    Blade: Astra SP
    Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip
Soap: Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic
    AS: Barbasol Pacific Rush
Razor/Brush stand from West Coast Shaving - ordered in JUNE.
(I can't remember which member told me about the stand!)

A little menthol to help me on my Ikon Slant journey. I've had fun this week, except for Friday when I couldn't seem to catch the baby who was so easy to capture the day before. Oh, I had a really close shave Friday, but parts of my face looked like I'd been the sun too long. I humbly admin...lesson learned. Saturday afternoon's shave was 2 very, very easy passes for a nice shave to go out with friends. Sunday morning, I only need one light ATG pass to achieve a nice DFS. So, now that I've got my technique back in order I'll add some menthol and some fun! I'm sure I'll have another really nice, comfortable shave. If the baby shows up, fine. If not, so be it. I still really, really like this razor for it's balance, it's ease of use and the shave it gives me if I don't get carried away.

Here's another soap I haven't used in a long time, thanks to NBJ! B&M is one thirsty soap! But boy are you rewarded. The SC101 performed flawless, this morning I used both sides of the head, the open comb was okay.
A better tomorrow. Takes your best today!

    Menthol Monday
Pre shave comparison round two: Mickey Lee Lime vs Van Yulay.
Today I switched sides on my face for the pre shaves, with VY on the right and ML on the left. I think VY distinguished itself this time. My right side feels more comfortable and moisturized even after the shave. Perhaps the tea tree oil in VY tipped the scale for me, since that is one of my favorite ingredients. Tomorrow, Shea Moisture pre shave goes against Maggard's Eucalyptus in the first of two days of comparison. I will then have the winner of each pair face off for two days.
It was a good shave, still a little tender on my neck, but no big deal. Rhapsody was excellent as usual, and Krampert's Frostbite provided the welcome chill at the end.
Prep: Van Yulay; Mickey Lee Lime
    Soap: B&M Rhapsody
    Brush: HIS
