Prep: Warm shower:/ Asda Sea Salt & Fennel Extract Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi 26mm Rainbow Brown Synthetic. (Faux Horse)
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: Cella Extra Extra Bio Organic Aloe Vera Shaving Cream.
Razor: Parker 24C. - Personna Comfort Coated. (D1)
Razor: Parker InjRzr. (Head/Dome) (Settings) 4-wtg. 4-xtg/atg.+pick-ups. - Personna Injector PTFE. (D5)

Post:
Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./ Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Cella Bio Organic Aloe Vera ASL./Aloe Vera Cooling Gel.

Another new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend...Carrying on with my Parker razor focus using the Parker 24C which I haven't used for some time.

Open comb razors have a reputation of been aggressive, they can be, but any razor can if not treated with respect which can lead to a horrible wet shaving experience. I find open comb razors very smooth & efficient,and match up really well with de blades, the only thing which I find you have to do with the parker 24C as I do with all my parker razors is to apply a steeper shaving angle.

The Parker 24C like all of the Parker razors I own has a good heft to it, but is well balanced and feels good in my hand.

The Cella extra extra Bio shaving cream provided a wonderful this vegan version is equally as good to it's tallow sibling and like the tallow version it's slick protective and doesn't dry out and leaves your skin feeling hydrated and smooth. The mild-light fresh & Citrusy ASL is very pleasing leaving a good post shave feel.

Another close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Cooling Gel.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth cool and smelling divine.

A quickie but a very goodie with another one of Abir’s awesome soaps - this Retro Barbershop has a beautiful old school barbershop scent, I couldn’t believe how terrific the lather was or how slick it was, and the skincare is brilliant. The Aveeno moisturizer is so soothing as well as moisturizing, and finally the Brut trio left me smelling great. I did only two speedy passes but I still managed to get BBS or close to it - another fabulous shave that I really enjoyed!

The Musgo Real Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #30 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gebr. Becker 5/8 Straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Iced Blue After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

I love the Retro barbershop design.

 

@ilts, the PGA tournament of the weekend is the Barbasol Open. Wonder what the winner gets.

Razor : Gem Junior bar lather catcher- Mfg 1907-11, mild to tame mid range, a fresh blade brings out some of the best shaves that this razor offers, well made + nice script on the back of razor for that time period. Lather catchers played a big part in the evolution of safety razors being the first to arrive for the general public offerings in the 1880's by the Star brand. Had a close comfortable shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(2)
Soap : Razorock Emperor, sharp cologne scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Black marble" 24 mm 3band silvertip badger- excellent lather painter, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Big bloom on this brush with first cleaning, a very nice brush to use but it does trap lather in the knot more than my synthetics IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless)
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Gem Jr bar with a coated Gem blade. Gem manufactured very good razors for it's dominance in safety razors at one short time period in the shaving world.
