MWF in OS "Shorty" mug Rocket/Darby Semogue boar OS (Vintage) Mmm.., about a +4. Still trying to "get" the Rocket. Seems maybe a little more aggressive that it's American Super Speed brother. Maybe not. And vintage OS aftershave....it hurts so good!
Razor-Stahly 1940's Blade-Iridium Brush-Chubby 2 Soap-MWF Splash-TSD 2x Iced Cedarwood/Lemon Milk-TSD Iced Cedarwood -This was my very first razor, my wife got it from her beloved uncle. For some reason I never used it before today. The vibrating was interesting but added nothing to the shave. It was a very smooth shave. It looks like a Tech but shaves more like an EJ 89. Fine Fine shave. Nice to use a razor with known history.
Feather Portable RP Israeli Personna (1) Omega 49 - Big Red Speick Shave Cream Alum Superior 70 Bay Rum Not a bad shave, but not a very good shave. I felt like revisiting the first razor / blade combo that gave me good shaves. Unfortunately, it wasn't as awesome as I remembered. To top it off, I dropped my Alum block and it shattered into a whole butt load of small pieces...
Tuesday! (or in the Stryker house: My Birthday Shave! ) Hot Shower Green Marvy Mug The Madhatter Silvertip (my Secret Santa 2010 gift) AOS Lavender SC Lord L6 Super Max Super Platinum (1) Cool Water Rinse Anherb AS Gel Pe-Re-Ja Cologne I admit, the Birthday shave is a BIG deal, regardless of who you are. It sets the tone for your day. Granted, I had already been serenaded at this point but still ... BIG deal. It's YOUR day ... and how it starts out is important. I agreed to try out this razor as a review process and it was my turn to use it ... today. I loaded the Lord L6 up with one of my favorite blades and committed to having a great shave. This is the first day of MY new year after all. I must commit to something today. What a fantastic shave this razor/blade combination gave me. I did try it with some trepidation ... the knurling on the handle was uncomfortable on my fingers, it didn't feel good on my dry skin. Once wet, no problem at all. While I did have to go over the knee area a couple times, I didn't have to go over any other areas more than one time .. and that Folks is a good thing. Have a great week everyone!!
That sux! It is about time for me to grab an order from Appleton Barber, want me to add an alum block to my order for you?

I cannot help but to feel sad that it was discontinued even in Italy, where these tubes come from. This cream IMHO is #1.
Weds 27 July Starbucks Sumatra, BLACK Proraso pre-shave balm Wee-Scott Lord Tech w/ Lord Platinum (D3) Palmolive Stick Alcolado Glacial Proraso balm Much better shave than yesterday, easily a DFS. Yesterdays shave was disappointing, and to top it off I got my but kicked at work, it must have been 110F where I was working. I was wiped out by the time I got back to the hotel.

Second shave with the Stahly Stahly Live Blade Gillette 7 O'clock Yellow Turkish Horsehair Brush Williams soap Another good shave. I did part of it without winding up the razor. The vibrating action may really add something; the jury is still out as far as I'm concerned. Anyway, one or at most two more shaves with this blade, then it will be back to my usual injectors for a while.
