Saturday's shave consisted of: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/7 AM day 6 Derbylux SC Keri unscented moisturizer Barbon AS What a lovely cream this Derbylux cream is. It smells very manly with a beautiful cologne/minty scent, and the menthol effect is very strong. It's made in Hungary by the same company as the Barbon cream and aftershave, which are also wonderful.

Saturday, July 30, 2011 Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Razor: Merkur Progress XL Blade: Lord Platinum Class Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super Cream: Ingram A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Proraso Splash In my opinion, Ingram cream is less mentholated than Proraso, although it still produces a noticeable (and welcome, to me) cooling effect. It is a decent cream, but I've been trying to use it up to reduce the herd a bit. I prefer Proraso, and I've heard good things about the Italian mentholated Palmolive. But today's shave was an excellent one, so the task of using up the Ingram will not be unpleasant. It's a nice state of affairs! There's one thing about Ingram, though--it doesn't seem as "thirsty" as most other creams and, if I'm not careful, I can end up with lather that is wetter and thinner than I prefer.

Saturday - it's the weekend! {kickin' back under palm tree, shades on, sun shinin' bright} Time for the SEs!! Prep: 30 minute marinade with TSD ISZ PSB, strop str8, hot shower, soak brush Coffee: Starbucks French Roast, BLACK Strop: VB 2" black latigo/linen Soap: TSD Leather Brush: Omega 49, the RED one Str8: Boker SS St. Louis, 3 passes Razor: Schick E model, touch up Post: Cold water rinse, RazoRock rub down, ice water splash, Pinaud Clubman AS 'Stache Wax: Firehouse Wacky Tacky Shave Rating: 3 Blades A couple o' things wrong this morning - thin lather, blade tugging, no home roasted coffee. Oh well, if based on final results this would have been an easy 4, maybe even 5 blades. Nice and close, no blood, the ISZ PSB is always nice, the soap smelled great despite me not getting the lather quite right, and the Pinaud is kinda growin' on me.

The lather was a little weak initially, but got better by the later passes. Must have used too much water. Took a 5th pass to do the job. Fortunately the Supermax is very forgiving, as there was no irritation.
