    FRIDAY'S SHAVE

    Perfumed by:
    Olivier Creed
    [IMG]

    Razor - Edwin Jagger "Kelvin"
    Blade - [IMG] *Fresh Blade
Shave Brush - Satin Tip "The Purest"
    Razor/Brush Stand by Royal Shave
    Pre-shave Oil - Lather & Wood "unscented"
Shave Soap - Catie's Bubbles "Le Piment de La Vie" *Luxury Cream Formula
Aftershave - Country Club for Men "Southern Oud"
Post-Shave Balm - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "Mysterium Serum"
    Deodorant - Sam's Natural "Tobacco"
    Fragrance - Creed Royal Oud

***EDIT - 1 pass + extensive clean up. BBS. One weeper that clotted itself after a minute and by the aftershave application it was gone with no trace. And wow, virtually nothing beats an Edwin Jagger DE89 head with a fresh Feather blade. So close. Stubble has zero chance for survival and the DE89 head seems to angle things just right to spare the skin. It's nearly bullet proof. The only other razor/blade combo that can edge this combo out is the Futur with a BiC-Chrome Platinum blade. Those two combos are the best in my den hands down.

Oh, and this 2015 era Luxury Cream by Catie's Bubbles is the best shaving cream I've ever used. It's better than the cream he's making today. Not sure what he changed, but the 2015'ish era formula just is more rich. The modern Catie's Bubbles cream is no slouch, so I'm not bad mouthing the modern Catie's Bubbles stuff, which is excellent. I'm just saying that the 2015'ish era had more richness. Hard to describe, but it's the only lather that I give a '10' out of 10 to other than PAA's CK6 formula. The modern Catie's Bubbles cream is like an 8.75 out of 10. Still way high up there, but not like it used to be in my opinion.

I do not know how much they charge for the 3P soap over there, but isn't is a surprisingly efficient soap compared to it's price?

This morning I was greeted by a beautiful mist. Not exactly a real fog, but since a few years I have to deal with it.
Now it's up and it's sunny: it's true that all good things in life are illegal, fattening or don't last long!

But it lasted long enough to let me use the Soek. The mild Monotech worked in souplesse thanks to the efficient blade.

    Cold Water Rinse
    Archaic Alchemy Eureka Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #313 Badger
    Maggard Slant Razor
    Gillette Silver Blue
    CWR
    Granddad's Blend AS

The Archaic Alchemy Eureka Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #313 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Maggard Slant Razor with a Gillette Silver Blue blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I am not sure of the price, Sergio, it was sent to me from a TSD member. Good soap, but not the best post-shave feel I have experienced.

    I see...
It is fairly cheap here: around 11.00 €/1 kg
And... you can't have it all!

I tried it out of curiosity and did not fall in love with it, but its performance is 'honest'.
The pre/post shave cream, is, instead, fantastic.
IMO far better than Prep as far as performance, fragrance and texture.

The shape is nice but it's the vibrant colors that push it over the edge. The cashmere knot is the only knot that would work on that brush in my opinion. Any other knot would take away from the aesthetic of it, if that makes sense. Maybe the reverse tuxedo. The one that is white with black tips, I'm not even sure if that would work.

Razor : Razorock German 37 slant- Mfg 2017>Excellent razor, mid range, you might have to align the blade to top cap.
Blade: Gillette 7oClock SP black(4) one of my favorites, smooth & sharp!
    Soap: Razorock Don Marco
Brush: Yaqi rainbow brown whiskers(Mew) 26 mm- very enjoyable brush with soft tips, thick knot & reasonable scrub.
