Let's see those shaves for the week! Bonus points for pictures!

Also, this is shave stick week, so if you have some shave sticks, break them out!

    Slim (on 8)
    Derby Extra (1)
    Arko Stick
    Cold Water Splash
    Generic Witch Hazel
    Master Blue
    TSD English Fern

Dominican Coffee, extra black (its Monday). Shave was a 4 blader at best, with 4+ passes. Could have stopped at 3 and been almost as well off without some neck burn. Now that I just got BBS's 4 days in a row off of an IP Red blade, the Derby has big shoes to fill. Have a good day gents.

Probably not BBS but real close. Just 2 passes N/S then S/N a DFS for sure. The Velva as always very soothing and works well with Cool Water.
    Today's Pipe: Kaywoodie #5182
Today's Tobacco: Big n' Burley, and a very nice blend that I made a couple weeks ago that have yet to name.
    Have a great Monday All!

    Menthol Monday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
Ming Shi TTO/Super Max day 3
    Proraso Wheat Germ-SC :love008 :love008
    Visal-AS Gel :love008 :love008 :anifrozen :anifrozen
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Pino Silvestre-EDT

Nice and cool for this morning's shave--I cannot understand why this Proraso cream in the red tube was discontinued. In my honest opinion, it's a lot better than the green-tubed version. By the way, Visal is a real face-freezer. ;) :D

    It's not Williams, but . . .

Actually, all my soaps work just fine.
    Hot shower
TSD Sensitive milled together with some Ogallala Bay Rum fragments.
    VDH Boar brush
Schick adjustable with modern Schick blade

I don't care for the smell of Bay Rum, but when it's just a little mixed in with something else, it's not bad.

This brush is losing hair again. I thought it had stopped that. Oh well.

    Razor: Merkur Long Handled Progress
    Blade: Super Iridium (shave #16)
    Brush: Grosvenor LE Super
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
A/S: Generic Witch Hazel, Taylor's No. 74 Victorian Lime

Shave #16 on this blade was smooth, but it seemed that there was a slight degradation in the shave quality. Also, I noticed a tiny weeper, something that rarely occurs. I am taking the hint provided by both of these observations and will change the blade before the next shave with this razor. Back when I started shaving in 1955, I would have considered my shave today to be a dream shave and would have paid no attention to any "hints" less severe than a bad gash or amputation of an ear. We are truly lucky that today we have the shaving forums for information and so many quality shaving products easily available online.

    AfterShave: Nivea Post Shave Balm

This was my first straight razor and it's larger than I like. I don't really use it a lot anymore so I am not familiar with the size. So, I have a few nicks.

The My Time Bath and Body menthol is probably one of my favorites although next time I order I'll go for the 10/10.

After reading this thread, I decided to try chilling my aftershave. I put the Nivea in the fridge Saturday in preparation for my Sunday shave which I never got to. The bottle was really cold but the balm wasn't that much. It was different and I think it may have been creamier. It's hard to explain. I may try it again with AV Icy Blue splash AS.

Just curious - extra black? For most "black" means no cream or anything else that may change the color of the coffee (for me it also means no sweetener of ANY kind). I can understand extra "dark", meaning it spent a little bit longer in the roaster. How are you defining extra black?
