Great shave. My intentions were to shave with my HD and the loaded Gillette Swede, but I accidentally grabbed the slant and didn't notice until I shaved one side burn.

The SR 101 Pure is a nice, very well made little brush. It feels heftier than my Rooney 3, 1.

Noxzema lather S/C :drool :drool :drool :happy005 :love008
    Tabiano A/S gel
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Floris Santal EDT

Noxzema, you are the love of my wetshaving life--I adore you for your soothing and cooling, which makes my sensitive skin feel soooooo great, and for your rich lather, and you sure smell so nice! Now, how's that for an SOTD post? ;) :D

Never used at tallow stick before so I probably over applied but the shave was still fantastic! The stuff smells very pleasant also.

    QED "Rosie" pre-shave bar

    Vulfix "Hyde Park" boar brush
    Mama Bear's Rosemary Mint

Truly excellent shave, despite the blade being well-used. I think having a fairly deep container for the soap is part of the trick to lathering with a boar brush. That would explain why I get better lather with the Mama Bear soap than with QED (which is in a smaller container). Generally, I prefer QED soaps when using a badger brush.

I love this razor. Like other Merkur open comb heads it is nothing to be afraid of. It felt extremely gentle, but it is a whisker killer. One pass WTG and I was ready for ATG. (I usually do WTG WTG XTG before an ATG)

don't tell me that, I've got a tube of Palmolive Menthol on the way!
Jeff, you're killing me! Is that the same Noxzema Cream that is discontinued and difficult to obtain now? I may just have to break down and try to find some....

I think your tube of Palmolive Menthol is green, and is coming from Italy, so you have nothing to worry about--it smells delicious! The Egyptian version of Palmolive Menthol is in a blue tube. The lather and menthol are great, but that cream's scent is awful.

Yes, that Noxzema is very hard to get now. It looks like this.

Actually, I'm not sure which Palmolive Menthol it is (Mist, maybe?). It was thrown in as an extra and the guy wasn't even sure what it was...

Either way I'm very excited. I'm really starting to enjoy the Palmolive creams...

If it is Godrej Menthol Mist, it looks like this. Wowwwwwww, it is soooooo cold-feeling, and does it f...ing lather for 3 guys to make shaves with! It also smells very nice. Yes, I also love those Palmolive creams a lot.

If that's what it is, then I'll be doubly happy! :D :D Either way, it was an unexpected bonus. I'll be sure to share when it arrives!

I think for tomorrow, I'll shave with the Godrej Menthol Mist, or maybe a good soap. I love the Menthol Mist so much, but because the tube is smaller than the majority of my other tubes, I do not use it too, too often.
