But not today. Which leads me to the bad part: I had four ingrowns from yesterday and my skin wasn't feeling great in the morning. The shave left quite some stubble behind and gave me a few red patches on the neck. Luckily Mama Bears ASB works wonders on those red spots but it still was a lousy shave. *sighs* My straight shaves give me so much trouble these days. I've got some spots on my face where the beard-hair is very soft - not fluffy but not as strong and thick as other parts and these are the spots where I just can't get a BBS shave with the straights. Well, I can go near-BBS there but only with 4,5 passes and my skin doesn't take this every day. No problems with the DEs, though. Rating: 2,0/5

too bad Jeff about the quickie not funny at all after such a nice line up but atleast it was the dovo or else you wouldnt walk and tell about it after a one pass DE. quite amazing you had no time and went for a straight means your comfortable with your technique , not a hair on my head would consider grabbing for a straight with time short.

Thursday PM My new (to me!) large brown Moss Scuttle arrived in the mail today. Looked so good I decided for an evening shave. WOW. :drool Hot water splash Clearasil Oil Control Face Wash w/ Tea Tree and Peppermint SR 3124 Large Moss Scuttle warming up '63 Fatboy w/ Feather blade (Day 7) Proraso cream Warm water rinse Cold water rinse Aqua Velva A/S splash Cold water rinse QED Peppermint Hydrosol Nancy Boy Cooling Aftershave gel I've tried a few makeshift scuttles so far... smaller ceramic bowl inside a larger ceramic bowl ceramic quaiche-like bowl in a Rival Hot Pot But NOTHING compares to the way the Moss Scuttle passes the heat through to my brush, and lather. The large Moss Scuttle is the PERFECT size to contain a fully loaded SR 3124... the brush doesn't slide up the side of the bowl, the handle doesn't end up flat in the bottom of the bowl... it just keeps the lather nice and TOASTY warm. I'll still use my Rival hot pot to get the water to the initial temperature, and just pour into the inner chamber of the Moss Scuttle. The actual size of the Scuttle itself was smaller than what I had pictured in my mind (just based off various pictures I've seen of it) but Sara really has created a wonderful wetshaving item...
