I love your photo, and especially your vintage Seiko and the story that goes along with it. :happy088:

I've had bad luck every time I'd used a TM before, and have said so on this very board. But this afternoon's shave was perfect. A very mild shaver, it took 3 passes to get it done but the result was flawless. Zero irritation or nicks. Total BBS. I think the problem last time(s) was me having the wrong angle or the carts having wonky blade ribbons, or both. This one is perfectly tight in the rollers and I was mindful of the angle, so I now see how the engineers' intended it to perform. An impressive shave...now I'm glad I've a whole new cart after this one to use (I hope it's as good).

Followed up with Lucky Tiger Lotion, just because.

    Have a good week, gents.

Nice shave. I dropped the razor while taking the pic and cracked the scales. Better the scales than the blade. You can always replace scales. Have a good one.

Its like the scales and brush were meant to go together.

Thanks, but the watch is a Cronosport Dive watch from 1982. I used to send it to them every 2 years, and for $25 they would replace the seals, pressure test it, and send it back. They even once replaced the bezel for free because they didn't like the way it rotated. I don't believe they are around anymore. I have a local jeweler keep it running now. I'm guessing from your name you are into watches.

Thanks, and I stand corrected on the watch brand! I'm glad to hear you are having it checked every so often. Yes, I like watches. I'm currently wearing a MKII Nassau on a nylon strap. I'll include it in one of my upcoming SOTD photos.

Prep: Hot Shower, L'oreal Face Wash
Pre Shave: Homemade Peppermint pre shave oil
    Soap: Arko (Old Spice Mug)
    Brush: Omega Bambino
    Razor: Merkur Barber Pole
    Blade: Astra SP
Post shave: Gentleman Jon Alum Block
After Shave: Witchhazel peppermint infused, Proraso pre/post, Clubman Musk splash.

Thoughts: Another great shave with the BarberPole the razor grows on me with each use. It has just the right amount of aggressiveness for me and plenty of weight to go with it. This was the second shave with the Omega Bambino and what a great little scrubber it is! You wouldn't think it would produce a lot of lather but it does and does with ease! Just a great little brush to have around for travel or just to mix the routine up. The Arko never fails as usual to produce a great lather, it's been tough sticking with just it and the VDH here lately. But it makes me appreciate my more luxurious soap/creams that much more when I get back to using them! Hope everyone has a great week! God bless!

If I wasn't having so much trouble with my hands going numb I would try shaving with a Straight Edge. By the way the brush and the Straight edge are well coordinated.

    Menthol Monday
Solid Krampert's Frostbite shave. The soap whips up very easily and is tolerant of water. I thought I put in too much, but it still worked out great. My face is smooth and still cold thirty minutes later. I really like this soap because it matches and enhances my favorite menthol aftershave.
    Prep: Proraso White
    Soap: Krampert's Finest Frostbite
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: der Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Voskhod

Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Shield Face Wash
    Razor: RazoRock Baby Smooth
    Blade: Ladas
Brush: Olive wood Finest 22/50mm by Gluck Huckelson
    Lather: Catie’s Bubbles Jardin D’Or
    Post: Alum. Thayers Cucumber WH.
    Aftershave: F&C Black Powder
First shave with the RR Baby Smooth, I'm very impressed with the way it shaves. I'm not impressed with the quality control! It is very difficult to tighten the handle, as many razors IB has made you'd think they'd have these issues fixed. Thayers Cucumber is THE best! Check out Folsom & Company. great aftershaves.
    Go out and get it
