A beautiful gray day that, however, at three o'clock in the morning, it was still dark. Very...

I was thinking of an almond scented soap: Boellis in particular. I like it very much.
But then, after a series of sniffs, the choice fell on Vetiver.

It doesn't smell like the Vetiver I like, but it's probably what most people like, so...

I was satisfied with the lathering: a veil of water on 50° and then a few more turns of the brush....
At the time, I mounted the knot so that it remained compact and the result was a very covering and abundant lather.

The Kai behaved well, but I prefer it on the Gilletes d’antan.

I enjoyed the aftershave and EdT very much, as always.

    Sapone PS: Sapone di Aleppo
    Sapone: Pannacrema, Vetiver
Pennello: Lab. Villefranche, Schwarzy, Amaranto/Silvertip 24 mm
    Rasoio: Merkur, Progress 500
    Lametta: Kai
    AS 1: MilMil, Figaro Gel
    AS 2: Gandini, Vetiver
    EdT: Gandini, Vetiver
ST: Nina Simone, Ne Me Quitte Pas, 1999

    Personna Injector
    PSC Caffeinated After Shave

The Proraso Sandalwood Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 2-band Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Supply V2 razor with a Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with PSC Caffeinated After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Good morning! Sorry I haven't been around much. Since I'm down to only one razor, not much changes from day to day but my software. With Tabac on, I don't dare go visit a nursing home! I have a half dozen Lucite brushes I've been trying to build up the courage to reknot. Once I've done that, I'll show up more regularly. I pray everyone on here is doing well.

    L’Oreal Barber Club Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Schick day 4
    Bundubeard Rooi Afrikaner SS
    L’Oreal Barber Club ASB
    Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick
    Bleu de Chanel AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

When Jaco makes a soap he puts in all the right ingredients as well as a lot of love. The Rooi Afrikaner’s herbal/soapy scent is so beautiful, the lather is so thick, rich, and slick because it’s tallow based, the blade glide is perfect, and the postshave feeling is so comfortable. The L’Oreal Barber Club balm also has a nice scent, it’s very moisturizing as well as soothing, and the Bleu de Chanel fragrance to me, is MAGNIFICENT. What a dynamite shave this was!

Have a great day - be well and safe!

Sticking to a one blade, one razor run of shaves until this blade is finished to practice finding the goldilocks amount of pressure to apply to get a BBS finish without nicking yourself.

So yeah... I thought LPL was suppose to be great? I just got this soap in a trade. And i am soooooo glad it was just a trade. I would be upset if i had bought this. The soap is easy to lather no doubt about it and its what ive always heard. The scent is really nice and ive always heard that about the scents. But thats it. The soap wasn’t slick at all. The soap was a little foamy. Tried adding more water and working it but nothing changed. There was tons of lather but its not creamy nor slick. The scent disappeared right away too. From the tin, the scent was nice, but by the time i finished lathering up... poof... no more scent. There isnt any post shave feel.

So in conclusion.. i think its all hype, and makes me feel like i should continue to be a cheap A$@ and continue on with what ive been doing. Lol Arko isnt a pleasant scent but hot damn if it doesnt do circles around the frenchy here.
