Williams Wednesday's Cold Water Shave Cold Water Rinse Williams Mug Shaving Soap Jayaruh #436 2-band Badger Burham Safety Razor Personna GEM SS PTFE CWR Dickinson's Witch Hazel Pinaud Clubman After Shave The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #436 2-band Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Burham Safety Razor and a Star Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Thank you. It’s too early to tell. It’s my second shave and whatI’m noticing is it is really holding on to the lather. This morning I had to squeeze the knot several times to bring the lather to the tips. From what I’ve read their is a break in period so I’ll keep at it. I love the feel though. The knot is super dense! Paul.
Wednesday morning’s Mega Grand Freeze: Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/new Rapira MSC Citrus Melody SS Prep ASB MSC Citrus Melody AS Splash Christian Dior Eau Sauvage EdT Oh my God I haven’t had this much menthol on my face for a few days - my eyes were tearing throughout the entire shave. Fernando made two versions of this Citrus Melody soap and this one I used today is so bloody hyper mentholated that it kicks even the Stirling Glacials and the Chiseled Face Cryogen out of the park. The scent is so gorgeous - lemon, lime, grapefruit, and a little tangerine all come together to make this soap smell amazing, the menthol hits like two tons of frigid bricks, and the postshave feeling is so comfortable. The Prep gave me such great additional soothing and moisturizing, while the Citrus Melody aftershave brought the freeze to another level. Last but not least the Eau Sauvage had me smelling beautiful. The brand new Rapira helped ensure another perfect three pass BBS shave that was such an icy cold pleasure! Wishing y’all a lovely day - be well and stay safe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Preshave: Hot shower Soap/Shave cream: Proraso Green Brush: Ever-Ready rebuild Razor: Vikings Blade Emperor Meiji Blade: Derby Extra (1) Post shave: Gillette Gel So I bought this a few days ago and shaved with it and wasn't terribly pleased; a lot of irritation, particularly in the neck area. I watched a few videos and did some reading and thought maybe I had it dialed up a little too high and also that I used the scalloped side almost exclusively. So I changed blades from an Astra SP to a Derby Extra, dialed it back from a 5 or 6 to a 2.5, and used the smooth bar and ... YES!!!! Now we're talkin'. A huge improvement. Still not perhaps the smoothest shave I've ever had (that's reserved for the Rockwell 6C on the R3 plate) but nice and close and no drama. No cuts, slices, weepers, only a really pleasant shave. So my Emperor Meiji appears to be very aggressive in its geometry and design and a low setting, at least with this blade and this shave soap and my particular face and beard, is just fine, thank you very much! I'm glad I didn't give up on it after only one shave. This is a quality razor that delivered a terrific shave this morning. I just needed to adjust to it.
