    Friday morning:

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/Schick day 5
Master Soap Creations Frosted Spearmint SS
    Prep ASB
Master Splash Creations Frosted Spearmint AS Splash

This Frosted Spearmint soap from Fernando is so similar to the Stirling Glacial Spearmint in many ways - it’s tallow based, its scent is beautiful, the lather is fantastic, and although the menthol sensation is much milder than the Glacial Spearmint it’s still a pretty damned cold soap - not only that, the tallow formula promotes gentle, soothing skincare. I enjoyed my facial massage with the Prep so much, and the Frosted Spearmint aftershave not only froze the crap out of me - it smells so beautiful just like the soap and it’s so soothing. Another picture perfect BBS shave!

Have a great weekend - be well and safe!

I've had some absolutely fantastic shaves over the last month and a half followed by some of the worst, completely due to a rubbish blade.

It's taken me a good three years, but I've finally found a blade which i despise more than the voskhods, in the form of the Dorco ST-300. What an absolutely terrible blade.

The rest of the shaves were absolutely fantastic, the first lot of shaves were with one of my new favourite blades, the Schick DE blades. What an amazing blade, made in Germany. Its a touch less sharp than a feather, but maintains that sharpness for an incredibly long time.

I also decided to go with Arko for Arko April, and with my arko stick being "on its last legs", I decided to give Derby a try. The performance is nearly identical to Arko, except the scent is slightly different, and the stick itself is a bit harder when compared to Arko.

With winter fast approaching, I also switched to my winter aftershave balms.

    Shaves 1-10

    Blade- Schick DE
    Brush- yaqi marble handle synthetic
Soap- Master Soap Creations citrus melody
Razor- Gillette super speed flair tip
    Aftershave- Ego Bahama mist

    Shaves 11-20

    Blade- Schick DE
    Brush- yaqi marble handle synthetic
    Soap- Arko shave stick
Razor- Gillette super speed flair tip
    Aftershave balm- prep

    Shaves 1-5

    Blade- Dorco st-300
    Brush- yaqi marble handle synthetic
    Soap- Derby shave stick
Razor- Gillette super speed flair tip
    Aftershave Balm- prep[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Happy you like it! Thank you, Matt.

    As usual, just a combination!
I prefer darker shades, but now...

Razor: Kai Style AC shavette- Mfg 2018>, well built for a Zamac Shavette, I like the folding type because it can be configured to my liking. Easy razor to enjoy and learn with IMO with a guarded blade.
Blade: Kai Protouch guarded (7), sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity usually around 8 shaves for me, very smooth blade compared to a naked edge and I still get close shaves.
Soap: Arko, scent is controversial with great lather qualities, still on my 1st stick 4 years later, has amazing longevity[IMG].
Brush: Yaqi Atlantis 24mm- Excellent lather creator, cloud like soft tips, excellent back bone for scrubbing+ good lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3. 1X WTG + 2X ATG.
Post shave: Pinaud Clubman with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG]Excellent shave with my Kai style shavette with a Kai Protouch.

The star of this show is this soap. Hot damn its good. Thick, creamy, and slick, is it the slickest?... No, but it has alot of slickness that most dont. Ive been missing out and im glad i made the trade. The scent is a weird orangy scent... not quite orange buuuut hmm not sure. It like having a piece of chocolate and then you drink some orange juice.. that weird thing that happens in your mouth.. the 2 flavors dont jive. Lol or those orange flavored aspirin i use to take as a kid? Whatever.... this soap is really good. Bbs smooth
