I experienced the rusty cap myself, on a Maggard, but haven't been lucky as you, but seeing a light at the end of the tunnel..

I shaved at 4am: couldn't sleep.
I hoped I could get back to sleep but couldn't and watched the London Underground story,
I would have preferred to sleep...

The bathroom was suffused with lavender aroma and I was lulled by the music, also scented!

The Vintage Life Licorice Shave Soap lathered well with the Olivewood Silvertip Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Fat Handle Old Type Frankenrazor with a Personna Super blade (51) gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with PSC Caffeinated After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

To this day I can’t get over how fantastic Fernando’s soaps are - his Pole Position has a lovely scent which is an exact copy of CK One from Calvin Klein, the lather is such a pleasure to work up, and the skincare is perfect because of the tallow formula. The L’Oreal Hydra Energetic balm is so moisturizing as well as soothing, and to me no other fragrance compares to the Bleu de Chanel. The Astra Green blade is still performing very well - it helped to give me another brilliant BBS shave!
