    Good morning, everyone!

I have started this new week with the following:

    - Thiers Issard shave soap 'neutral'
    - Jack Black Pure Performance shave brush
    - Mühle R89
    - BIC Chrome Platinum (2nd shave)
    - Logona Mann AS Balm

Great little blade, this BIC. I am noticeably impressed, as it gave my usual Feathers a run for their money.
Since I had to shave yesterday afternoon, there was really nothing to take care of this morning. Stubble was not visible overall and could not be felt on the face, only some traces along the chaw, on the chin and on the neck. And since this is no reason not to lather up, I did enjoy a rather fast 1-pass shave.

Wishing all of you in TSD Land a great week ahead and enjoy those shaves!

    Hi all,
This evening's shave was my fourth with a DE razor, and I keep reading up in the forums, finding new tips to make it go more smoothly. My hair doesn't grow that quickly, so I can get away with not shaving for 2 or 3 days, but since getting my feather portable, a shave after my shower has been something to look forward to whether I need it or not.

Filled a large bowl with hot water to soak my brush and warm my soap mug.
Lathered with a my old cheapie boar bristle brush, and mug full of soap slivers from the shower (I've got a couple of actual shaving soap pucks and a tube of musco real on the way)
Not much to shave off, so just a single against the grain shave with the Feather Portable loaded with a 4 day old derby
Cold water rinse and then since I don't have any post-shave products yet I just used whatever face lotion my wife keeps in the bathroom.

A close look in the mirror reveled that I didn't get as close right underneath my nose, but otherwise pretty good. Something to work on next time.

Phyto Expert Sensitive AS Balsam :love008 :love008 :freezing :freezing
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Quorum EDT

The Elios blades are definitely not as smooth as the Rapiras, at least where I'm concerned. They're very good and effective, but they seem a bit harsher. The Phyto Expert stuff is absolutely wonderful--I highly recommend it. Check out www.kalina.org for more information on it. ;) :D

    Voskhod Teflon (2)

Boosted VDH / Bigelow super lather
    24mm TGN Finest

    Alum / witch hazel splash
    Clubman Bay Rum

Great shave today with the Red Tip. I still think I prefer the open comb razors, but it was a nice change. Day 2 with the Voskhod was rather nice, a sharp and smooth blade for me. Nice way to start the week.

    Frankensoap
    Omega Boar
    Schick "Revereware" Injector
    Pella Blade (4)

My Frankensoap is a mix of leftovers from at least six soaps, that started when I grated a new formula Erasmic shave stick. Works pretty well with what's in there now.

    A nice hot shower.
While showering my Parker brush was warming up, Ginger's Garden Lime Soap was warming.
After the shower I applied Johnson Baby Oil for a pre-shave.
It is so wonderful to apply warm lather on a chilly fall morning.
I choose a Gem Junior w/a thick black handle.
Afterwards I applied Aqua Vela Blue and Canoe after shave balm.
    A nice BBS shave.
