I'm dedicating my shave to you-two cool ones together. But it will be 55 here, after all. Not warm enough for Stoylin Glacial Wintergreen, though.

Great shave tonight! The MERS soap was slick and cushioned with great protection and residual feel, Shark Chrome on it's second shave in the Aristocrat mowed my whole dome down smooth and comfortable even against the grain. Rose Thayers, Skin Bracer and AV Sensitive ASB left me feeling great and fresh!

November 24 - Pot luck shaves

    Razor - 1946-47 Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
Soap - Route 66 Bourbon Jungle
    Brush - Jayaruh #54
    Post - Alum

Late night shave thanks to a very busy day and wanting to finish off the last two episodes of Godless when I got home finally. If you have Netflix I highly recommend that show. Seven episodes and highly entertaining, especially for you fans of westerns!

Second night for the Treet New Steel and I matched it up with Route 66 Bourbon Jungle and the JR54. The lather was absolutely incredibly slick. Probably the slickest lather I've gotten from Route 66. Nice! In spite of the lather, the blade was a bit on the rough side. And then I remembered the blade. First shave as good as the Treet Platinum, no questions. Second shave it tends to show a little wear and it won't get a third shave from me now. The blade is quite good if you are a one or two shave per blade shaver. Otherwise, the Platinum is the better choice.

The result showed that as well. Three full passes and a very nice DFS but no baby tonight. That's the first miss in five shaves. I'll move on to a different blade tomorrow.

Another early start tomorrow morning as the annual shopping frenzy continues. Hope you have all your shopping done or you're smart enough to avoid it! Have a great weekend!

First time using the Ikon SBS which was given some heft by the Windrose handle. I have never had much interest in dual format razors...but for some reason this one intrigued me. Perhaps it was the reversible base plate . For this shave I used the less aggressive mode and got a wonderful BBS shave with 3 passes and a little touchup:)

My nearest and dearest is away for the weekend attending a British Dressage event, so tonight it will be Beer, Burgers and Strictly......or perhaps that should be strictly Beer and Burgers!

    Enjoy your weekend:)

Superb shave today with Through The Fire Fine Craft. I also wanted to draw attention to their cross country trek to rescue dogs and bring them to a no kill shelter. The lather and scent are both excellent, as is the post shave feel.

A funny thing happened today. I used a soap that normally would never touch - that soap was WILLIAMS! It actually worked pretty good thanks to my Plissoft synthetic which is such a good brush. A splash of Booster Polar Ice and I'm good to go!

    Have a nice Saturday!
