    Razor: Gillette Tech
    Blade: Personna Comford Coated (6)
    Pre Shave: Homemade
    Lather: Gillette Foamy
    AS: Brut Special On

A 2 pass, WTG/ATG with a nice smooth clean up. I haven`t used a tech for awhile. A smooth, close shave, resulting in a BBS. I have forgotten just how much a good standard old fashioned shave feels.

    Razor: Gillette Fat Handle Tech
    Blade: Gillette Green
    Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
    Soap: Ballenclaugh Old Barber Menthe
    Post: Arko Maxium Comfort balm

Absolutely love Ballenclaugh soaps, everything one would expect from a great soap. Barbershop scent with a nice amount of menthol. Very soothing post shave. Finished off with Arko balm.

    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Croma
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft
    Soap: T&S Maya
Post: Proraso Woods and Spice balm

Not the best lather I have got from T&S, I believe it was my fault this time since this is a great product. Scent reminds me a bit of Dr. Pepper with orange notes. Finished off with Proraso Woods and Spice balm.

    Soap: Grooming Dept Basique
    Post: MLSW Kraken Milk

Very smooth Grooming Dept is another favorite artisan in the den, lather is as close to perfect as it gets plus the scent Paired well with the Kraken milk which I also added menthol crystals to the bottle. Excellent results from this shave.

    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Croma
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft
    Soap: Cattie's Bubbles 322
    Post: Shannon's Haymarket Vetiver A/S

Decided to go with 322 for Thanksgiving shave, figured the occult theme would be perect for any holiday but Thanksgiving especially. Wonderful Vetiver scent that is nice and earthy, I find the luxury cream to be lacking cushion a bit and as a result it was not the best shave. Haymarket Vetiver paired perfectly with the scent of 322.

    Razor: Gillette Redtip
    Blade: Croma

    Soap: Soap Smooth War Blend
Post: Peach Thayer's WH, Brut Black EDT

Absolutely love the War Blend from Soap Smooth. Big wide metal tin and the soap has a cologne type scent with the perfect menthol level. Not the closest shave but was not bad either. The blade will need changing soon since it started dragging twards the end.

Had a decent shave this afternoon. The Fructi has a fresh fruity scent that smells wonderful. Lather was not bad, plus it's a tripple milled hard puck. Much closer shave than yesterday. Finished off with Agartha. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!

Excellent three pass shave with a clean up under my chin for a near BBS. I've been watching football today, however, I haven't drank any beer so I have made no purchases.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Pharaoh's Dreamsicle Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #18 silvertip badger brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher with an Original Gem Cutlery SE and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pharaoh's Dreamsicle AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Great shave with this MW Sweet Briar with a strong scent of Apple Strudel and top performance. @Jayaruh #109 was a treat on its first use. Gorgeous two-woods ergonomic handle and a top silvertip knot to complement it. The GEM Push-Button though not my favourite GEM razor as I am partial to the older generation GEMs is still a great razor to use and consistently gives me a comfortable close shave. Have a great weekend friends.

Tonight's shave was with an Old Cast Iron Wedge of a Stubtail. I had a very nice, near silent, 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. One of my favorites to use.

November 25 - Pot luck shaves

    Razor - 1946-47 Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
Soap - Route 66 Bourbon Jungle
    Brush - Jayaruh #54
    Post - Alum

Well, I had made a point of avoiding Russians this month but who am I to avoid a challenge? @wristwatchb challenged me (yes that's a bit harsh of a term but go with it) to drop a Voskhod into the setup from last night and see how it performed. Now, I just can't say no to that kind of danger!! Besides, I was beyond curious as to how this razor and blade would work together. (Ignore the inaugural month of the 30DC where the Aristocrat and Voskhod were my rule that month.....seriously, didn't happen).

So, once again I grabbed the JR54 and Route 66 Bourbon Jungle and went after a lather. If last night's was the best Rt. 66 lather I've ever had then, it's now the second best. Really cushy, peaky and slick tonight. As good as it gets.

Three full passes with the Aristocrat and Voskhod (which I may or may not have christened the "detente setup" in the past) and I am completely shocked, surprised, and overjoyed that the baby is in the house, the shave was as smooth as silk and I skipped the alum since I knew I didn't need it and the face feel from the Bourbon Jungle was awesome. I would never have predicted it would be that successful. Who knows? I might have to stock a few Voskhods in my stash just to see if they are consistent (besides, I'm down to 464 of them in my stash, but who's counting).

Here's hoping Charlie will continue to throw me such challenging and surprising challenges!! Besides, it saved me taking a picture tonight as last night's is still applicable!
