Good morning friends. Excellent three pass shave today with the Maggard V3 open comb fitted with a Personna blade. Marvelous lather from the TFS Ginestra Di Taormina shave soap. I finished with Old Spice. I am smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. :)

    Good morning
    Razor- MMOC
Blade- GEM Personna PTFE (2cd run)
    Soap- Stirling Bay Rum
    Brush- Omega Badger
    Finish- Nivea

What a fine 3 pass shave I got for the beginning of November. This little brush hog does the job quick and efficient.
3 passes on the face, no burn, weepers, nicks or cuts:). Yea I ran with a light hand and was rewarded handsomely.
The 1 pass head shave was as good as it gets. Oh the Bay Rum still lingers in the bathroom an hour after, Ahhhh.
Egg, toast and coffee to start my day off right.

Bath Soap - Pre de Provence Sandalwood (quad-milled)
Razor - Antique Gillette ABC "Empire" Razor circa 1908-1912 (fully restored/re-plated in rhodium by Razor Emporium)
    Blade - [IMG] - 4th Shave
Shave Brush - Ralph Lauren Safari Collection fitted with Synthetic Knot manufactured by Frank Shaving (replaced by jimjo1031)
    Pre-shave Oil - Lather & Wood "unscented"
Shave Soap - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood Cream
Shave Mug - Ralph Lauren Safari Collection
Post Shave Balm - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood Skin Food
Deodorant - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood
Fragrance - Ralph Lauren Safari EDT *modern 2015 vintage

I love Geo F. Trumpers Sandalwood paired with Ralph Lauren's Safari. They are very similar and work EXTREMELY well together as an adult masculine scent. I wish I were still in my 30's because this is that "grown man, but not quite middle-aged" scent. It works well for me at 45 just fine as it is a mature scent. I own two Sandalwood bath soaps after buying several different soaps and deciding which would work best with this lineup. Although I own Geo F. Trumper's Sandalwood bath soap, IMO, The Pre de Provence Sandalwood Quad-Milled bath soap is the richer, more luxurious smelling sandalwood, which has that tangy-woody element that GFT has, but also has a richness to the base of the scent that is difficult to describe, but if you smelled the two bars side by side, they are similar in that 'tangy' wood top-end, but the Pre de Provence has a greater depth that just wins me over. I wish that Pre de Provence made their shaving soap in the Sandalwood scent, but alas, I have been unable to find it, so I am forced into the GFT Sandalwood Cream (the GFT shaving-soap puck is awful, but the cream is a bit better than decent IMO).

I will once again try to shave with the skin-layer removing antique razor. I worry that on the 4th shave it will likely tug as even the super-sharp feather quickly loses its cutting power with only a few shaves. I need to keep using this razor and develop some realy skill with it. Sooner or later I will get a great shave with this beauty, but may take time to get there.

***EDIT - I tried, but my neck complained about it. I will be trying a different blade manufacturer next time. I'll start going through the Gillette series.
