This is strange, the 1st time I tried this Proraso White soap, I didn't like it, but now I love it. It gives such a comfortable feeling to my skin, with fantastic lather and a very nice scent. It also has plenty of menthol in it.

Very close to a BBS shave this morning with the Lord blade and superspeed. The SAO soap yields a decent lather with a good conditioning feel. <sigh> Monday morning...tough to get moving...

When will I learn that Bay Rum doesn't agree with my face? Good shave regardless.

A/S: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel/Speick splash

I have been getting excellent shaves from both the Gillette Indian Wilkinson and the Shark Super Chrome blades I recently received as samples. This morning’s shave with the GIW was no exception--smooth, comfortable, and BBS. I will have to try both of these blades in my other razors before reaching a conclusion, but I think they will end up being added to my short list of favorite blades.

I had not used the Body Shop old formula cream for awhile, so pulled it out of the drawer today--a very easy lathering cream with a pleasant (to me, anyway) scent. The WH/Speick splash provided a fine, refreshing finish.

Soap: Penhaligon's English Fern (original Tallow formula)
A/S: Trumper's Marlborough

For my birthday shave I decided to treat myself to top shelf products. After hearing so many praises for Penhaligon's English Fern soap, I was lucky enough to pick up a new puck of the original tallow formula off the B/S/T. The English Fern is an excellent soap that lathers easily, provides plenty of cushion and glide, and smells great! This set the stage for a fantastic shave. The NOS Schick blade paired with the Futur mowed down my whiskers with ease leaving me with an irritation free BBS shave. For some reason you do not hear much about the NOS Schick Plus Platinum blades on the shaving forums. This is a mystery to me because they are superior blades. The Trumper's Marlborough is fast becoming one of my favorite aftershaves.

Shave Of The Day - November 23rd

I had planned on finishing off my Knack/Sharp combo today, but the mailman dropped off a package that had my new to me Diplomat inside, so I just had to give it a spin. Even though I was rushed by the wife to get done, the Diplomat really lived up to the hype, I can see this will quickly become one of my favorites.
