I'm trying to enjoy the Razar cream from Tunisia which I received a couple of weeks ago, but I'm not fascinated by the scent. The lather and skincare are very good, however. The Tabiano gel has fantastic moisturizing and soothing, it smells very nice, and it cools slightly. I'm starting to really like the Thayer's, although the initial sting is pretty potent. Another good, clean, and comfortable shave.

Very nice and comfy shave for BBS all around,the Superior 70 Mentolated Bay Rum has a more pine scent than BR and while it's not a face freezer it is a nice cooling splash.

• Prep: Brush soaking in hot mentholated water, face washed with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cleanser, luke warm shower
• Razor: 1918 Gillette Old Type 102 Single Ring
• Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless
• Brush: Semogue 820 Boar
• Soap: Proraso Menthol and Eucalyptus with added Menthol
• AS: British Sterling with....you guessed it, Menthol
• Post: Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash of Aftershave

This will be my last shave with this razor...as it is. It along with a few others are being sent off to be replated in Bright Nickel. This is one of the razors that I love but I never use because it looks bad. Soon it will become a regular part of my rotation.

I was able to get more menthol madness yesterday. While visiting my tobacco shop I asked the owner if he had any menthol, he did not, but he told me to go visit a local Indian market a few blocks away and to ask for it. They had a 15ml 100% Menthol food grade liquid for only $2.99, there was no way I was not going to try it. Wow this stuff is wickedly strong. One drop into a healthy palm full of British Sterling and I I felt like Mr Freeze. I need to figure out how much of this stuff to add to bottle of aftershave.

Love the look of this combo; the Weber Bulldog handle (Thanks Jordon!) really adds the needed heft to the Sabi CC head. I was expecting the Sabi to be a throwaway head but it turns out to be very nice. The chrome plating quality was way more better than I expected and the head geometry seems to work well with my shave requirements. End result: a very nice looking and performing modern razor that will be a regular in my rotation.

Second try with a GEM (first was with a 1912) and again I did not get a great shave. Just a bit of tugging during the shave, irritation after the shave, and only a SAS in the end. I pitched the blade and will try a Personna GEM blade next time. So far I'm not connecting with these GEM razors, but I'll give them a fair shot before I dismiss them.
