4.8 rating today!. This was my 2nd shave with the Cade. First time the lather was on the marginal side. This time it was at the Tabac level (world-class). The break-in period for this soap seems to be over.

Both shaves were really nice and comfy. Was wanting to post pics but between work and the kids on the computers, well, sometimes Dad takes a backseat to the technology; I missed my chance by getting home late.

I haven't used the Nord-ost stuff in a long time, and that's not nice of me - it's a fantastic shaving line, which is made by Kalina Konzern, the same company as Tet-a-tet. This Nord-ost cream has a classic scent and great lather, a light but nice cooling effect. The matching aftershave balsam is very cooling and soothing. :biggrin:

I decided to turn the dial up to 7 this morning. I have to say teh increased aggression was really nice! The shave was much smoother and closer than on 5 (Monday's shave). I really like this razor and I think I will deffinately keep it around! My little silvertip is a great brush. It is the floppiest brush I have, so I will keep it off of soaps like MWF, etc..., but it is a lather making machine. Since winter is setting in (no snow yet...I can't believe it) I am pretty much sticking with my Proraso, as it offers the most protection for cold weather.

The shave was great...only two passes, but the closest 2 passes I have received from a DE.

I felt like a change of pace today and the Futur beckoned. Loaded with an Astra of an unknown number of uses, the Futur did a fine job and the splash of Old Spice provided a nice start to this beautiful day.

I received a NOS Rotbart razor from Greg the other day and had to take it for a spin. It is a very well build and mildly aggressive razor that paired very well with the Schick Plus Platinum Blade. Aided by the excellent lather that I ginned up from the Tabula Rasa, I enjoyed a great shave...BBS and no irritation. To complete the Lavender theme I finished with a splash of the Harris Lavender Water. Very nice indeed!
