Sunday: Musgo Real Lime preshave soap / VDH boar brush / Ginger's Garden Lavender soap / Parker 89r razor / 7 o'clock super stainless blade d2 / TWH / TSD Lime a/s

Nice shave. 1st time using Ginger's soap, it works well and the fragrance lasts throughout the shave and I like that.

    Shavemac 22mm silvertip
    Fatboy/ Iridium
    CF 'Lime' SC
    Wesley&Scott AS
Serge Lutens 'Musc Koublai Khan' EdP

I dusted off a few rarely used items today.........so nice to have those things for 'special' days when nothing else will quite work.

The CF was a kick, and just exactly what I craved. The scent can be too intense for me, but today I knew I wanted that pure blast of LIME. Whew......hit the spot. Heh, I used more than I needed, forgetting how this stuff lathers. Very nice product both in performance and skin care.

The Serge Lutens scent is one I hardly ever wear. I went through a minor musk period, and this was the only one that sorta stuck. Same thing with 'amber'........I have a few I ended up liking, but not many.

Man, this shaving thingy has become quite the convoluted journey for me. Who woulda thunk it? Oh, BTW, my shave was excellent this morning!

    That'll do it,
    Martin

Talk about an excellent shave! At one point I could here my whiskers popping as they were being cut. It's the first time I've had such an experience. I think I can chalk it up to the lather. I used a division sign of cream - a strip across the center of the brush from side to side, and two dots on top which made the division symbol. The lather was the best I've had from Speick to date and probably the best I've ever had. It was dense - moist -slick - lubricating excellence. The only bad part of the shave was my upper lip where I got a little careless.
