    Sunday 10/12 . . .

    • [*]Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
      [*]Brush: C&E BBB
      [*]Cream: C&E Sienna
[*]Razor: GEM Featherweight for face & Bic Sensitive for head
      [*]Blade: GEM by Personna SE
[*]Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
[*]A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner & C&E Sienna ASB
      [*]EDT: SCS Very V EDT

[*]Result: Very nice smooth and comfortable BBS shave this morning. Only light pressure on the neck and slow blade buffing resulted in a BBS shave with no blood. Did get on bit of blood around my mouth when I went too fast over a previous nick that is not quite healed. Simple rub with styptic took care of it. Of all the GEMs I have (10 of them) the Featherweight is one of the top 3 as far as allowing me to get a BBS shave without irritation. Combined with the GEM Personna or Ted Pella blade and I would say it is the perfect GEM combo for me.

Thanks, Rodd. I worked on it yesterday, and the test shave this morning was amazing. Stiff, but smooth, not as harsh as the Swedish framebacks. This one's a keeper. :D

  7. After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

    Shavemac 22mm silvertip
    Fatboy/ Iridium
    QED Sandalwood SS
    Wesley&Scott A/S balm
    Ava Luxe 'Shisa' EdP

What a nice shave. I rarely break out the QED, and today was the perfect time to use that stuff! It's the only sandalwood scented soap or cream I truly enjoy, but it's so intense i can't shave with it very often. Man.......now THAT'S sandalwood.

The soap provides an excellent shave, and is ridiculously easy to lather. Whew.......that was a good idea.

The EdP used today is based on the scented tobaccos smoked in hookahs, and somehow seems appropriate this morning.

Oh.......a BBS face was achieved, soon to be followed by random bouts of involuntary faceturbation. What more can you ask of a shave..........heh.

    Thank you Sir :)

It's a Livi razor with Silvano Damascus. The IK cream is very nice especially when pared with the soap ;) I do prefer the soap personally but the cream is stated as 20% Shea and does lather nicely.
