    October 20

Razor - Gillette New SC Deluxe
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Stirling Iced Coffee
Brush - Stiring Two Banded Synthetic
    Post - Alum

Second night for my haunted buddy. Rapira PL for the second run as well. Definitely one of the top blades from Moscow. I chose Stirling Iced Coffee with the Stirling synthetic tonight to get ready to see Rod tomorrow afternoon. I'll be lobbying him to bring the Iced Coffee back to the lineup. For those wanting to get in on it I'll let you know how it goes. Something tells me I will probably come home with another soap too. I'll try keeping my hands in my pockets and being a good boy without reaching for my wallet.

The shave tonight was a two pass and touch up very fine DFS. I didn't really try very hard to get any better. Just enjoyed where it went. I did my head shave first so a lot of time in front of the mirror. Good thing I'm this doggone good looking, eh? Enjoy your Sunday!

    First time with a Pils, initial thoughts;
The bulky head will be hard to shave the troublesome areas.
The smooth handle won't be a problem after all I like the brass general.
    Wrong on both counts.
It's incredibly easy to get to awkward areas, still haven't worked out why.
Because it's so head heavy and the handle so thin, I need some help with grip, a few grooves in strategic places would be enough.
For a first shave it was pretty good apart from occasionally loosing the angle on the neck.
I can see why it has so many fans. It shaves very efficiently and smoothly when you get it right, and it holds the blade so rigidly flat it feels a bit like an SE.
I'm looking forward to learning this razor.

    Jayaruh #47 Synthetic
    C.V. Heljestrand Safety Razor
    C.V. Heljestrand Wedge
    CWR
    Pinaud Clubman AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Cella Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #47 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the C.V. Heljestrand Safety Razor with a C.V. Heljestrand Wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    God morning every one.

The power is off but the shave is on....

Yes, I have no AC power, so I took this
opportunity to break out the newly made travel/motor cycle/camping kit and give it a run through. Not gonna get to detailed other than using my RR German Slant with a Feather blade. I'm not big on the shaving soap, so I have to change it out. Will put some Striling in place of it.
All in all a DFS 2 pass even with the tiny mirror and the head shave was up to par. Nice to have a kit that works so not to forget any thing on the road.

    20181021_072402.jpg

I can get it all in the one bag so it's a grab and go. Have nail clippers and some extra goodies not shown still in the bag.

No power but I have hot coffee, gotta gas stove ;)

How do I post with no power??
I always use my cell phone and it is online.

All is as it should be :)

    Enjoy
