It just wouldnt be Wednesday with out Williams. Also, contrary to popular belief, I do know how to use a DE razor. I present to you Gillette Black Beauty (birth year) and Williams Wednesday! What a great way to finish off October!

 

Last 3 shaves of October all with OC’s. The first two were with samples to review, which may close out my soap review thread. Today’s was Hallows. C’mon guys it’s Halloween. How could it be anything but Hallows?! I don’t have the AS, so I went with Lavanille to go for that whole headless horseman kind of vibe. BOO!

 

Hahaha thanks for clearing that up. Unfornuately i cannot blame it on alcohol as i rarely drink these days accept for the occasional shot of Tequila (best liqour ever).

 

Thank you Matt. I tried to cast a shadow with the metal hand but it didn't work too good and it was tough when I have limited time between my second job of taxiing the kids to and fro and sometimes like last night dealing with dinner. This is my favorite time until halloween. I like to play with shadows and do some darker images.

 

Hey Steve how do you like the scent of this Sunday Funday Extravaganza? The label looks stunning and the idea of a once a month LE is a good idea for artisans to release new scents.

I goofed and posted in October - sorry everyone.

I saw this scent and knew I had to try it. I can't wait to get it wet and smell the scent of the lather tomorrow morning.
I never bought a full tin of Dr Jon's, but only tried the samples from the Maggard's meets. I must say that I have enjoyed Savannah Sunrise & especially 1803. Both performed well so when this came up, it was a chance to pay them back for their goodwill and try something truly unique.

The soap dry in the tin definitely exudes the elements referenced - I can smell the sweetness of the pancakes, and the pine in the background. I think the coffee is lighter and is blended in the sweet side of the smell. The ozone rounds out the pine, taking some of the sharpness away. They all seem to work well together. It is different but my fears of having a mixed mess appears to be unwarranted. For what it's worth, I think it will be great to use and my wife, daughter, and son all really liked it. My son thought is was exceptional.

Blade- GEM Personna PTFE (2cd run)
Soap- Stirling BayRum
Brush- Omega Badger
Finish- Nivea



What a fine 3 pass shave I got for the begining of November. This little brush hog does the job quick and efficient.
3 passes on the face, no burn, weepers, nicks or cuts. Yea I ran with a light hand and was rewarded handsomely.
The 1 pass head shave was as good as it gets. Oh the Bay Rum still lingers in the bathroom an hour after, Ahhhh.
Egg, toast and coffee to start my day off right.
