I have some Lord shave cream in the den somewhere...I will have to crack it out this week.

 

it was a gift from wilkinson, I obtain it in a draw in the wilkinson's facebook

 

I cannot get over how rich the lather is and how nice the scent is. It's sporty and traditional at the same time, and it has a perfect menthol effect without being a face-freezer. I was lucky to get another tube as a gift from an Egyptian friend of mine who was visiting his family in Cairo - he brought me the Lord with a couple of other creams. He wanted to bring me a Lord aftershave, but he said he couldn't find it, but instead he brought me a cologne called Chabrawichi 555.

Today I wanted to try a few more of new products and it was a great day for shaving. After the preshave was apllied, next up was Palmolive Lemon. My first citrusy cream, very nice. I brushed it in with my Vulfix 404 (getting it's second use) and proceeded to take my shave:
wtg, xtg, atg, hybrid neck pass, and touch ups.

Tomorrow I will make lather with this cream with a mug and see how it likes it.

All in all, an enjoyable shave from beginning to end. BBS.

 

Well then...with that high of praise, I will definitely use it for tomorrow's shave.

 

Go for it, and I will give you a little encouragement, with an expression which is used in the Middle East - na'iman! (this means like, great shave or great haircut!

 

I had received a tube of this cream a year or so ago and have not yet used it. I am now really looking forward to tomorrow's shave. Did your tube also come with a disposable razor?

 

Yes it did. I gave away the razor to my cousin.

What a super-smooth and nice shave - the Barbon cream which is also from Hungary lathers so rich and creamy, and it's made with chlorophyl which has a disinfecting effect which leaves the skin feeling very clean, as well as smooth. The matching aftershave has an icy menthol feeling to it which I love so much. :biggrin:

I went into the shave convinced I was only going to do 2 passes, but I ended up doing 3. I couldn't help it as I was reminded why I love MWF. The gentle, creamy lather was just too much to step away from!

I was pressed for time today and the Tech was loaded with a blade, but my hand was bothering me a little so I swapped handles. For those unfamiliar with the Merkur Alu, here is a picture from a vendor's website. Effortless DFS in three passes topped off by Merkur Topaz and I was on my way.
