    Tuesday, October 25, 2011 - Today's the day!
    1. Prep: Hot shower; California Baby face wash, hand strop blade
    2. Lather: TSD ISZ Wheat Cream - face lather
    3. Brush: Semogue 1250
    4. Razor: Ever Ready 1924
    5. Blade: Pella SS PTFE coated (1); 2+ passes
    6. Post: Warm water rinse; cold water splash; alum block; Osage Rub; Tate's Miracle Conditioner; Clubman Talc
Didn't shave yesterday so my Menthol Monday came on Tuesday. Tried using my last blade for 1 more shave, but that didn't work. When I have tugging even on my cheeks, it's time for a new blade. Popped in a fresh coated Pella and the rest of the shave was smooth.

Shave Rating - Splendid. A nice slap in the face to wake up this morning. God Bless!

    Razor: iKon H20
    Blade: Gillette Yellow
    Brush: Thater Porter
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Cream: Lord Emofresh
A/S: Acca Kappa White Moss Emulsion

The Lord Emofresh shave cream was a pleasant surprise. Encouraged by Jeff's (Crackstar) suggestion, I decided to use the Lord cream for today's shave and found the lather to be very slick and the skin conditioning properties to be excellent. You do not feel the Menthol initially but it does provide a nice cooling effect upon rinsing your face.

The iKon H20 may be iKon's smoothest shaver yet. The heavy stainless steel bulldog handle and the lighter aircraft aluminum head proved to be a very good combination and the dual action head truly is like having two razors in one. I used the open comb side for the with the grain and across the grain passes and the closed comb side for against the grain and touch-up. The result? An irritation free BBS shave. Very nice indeed!

    Tuesday's Shower and Shave
A long hot shower, Mr. Arthur was not going to budge today.
I choose my Omega 48 for today's lathering chore
Soap choice today was MWF. The Omega did a great job lathering MWF.
I choose my Fat Boy for the shaving tool for today, I loaded with a Voshkod blade.
Eurkea I have found the Fatboy/Blade combo for me. I also worked on my angle with the blade after three passes I achieved a wunderbar DFS.
Post shave a nice cold water splash. After the water splash I applied Thayer's Witch Hazel. To crown the great shave
I splashed Colonia Agua de Rude.
Texas is one game from being World Champs.

    Lord Platinum (3)
    EBC Witch Hazel
    TSD Bourbon Vanilla
    Aqua Velva Original

    * DE89 called from the bullpen for a touch up pass with Gillette Blue (4)

There was a lot of stuble for 36 hours for the Lord. I did my routine, wtg xtg, atg, a hybrid neck pass and just didn't feel smooth enough for touch up. So I called for Mariano to Enter Sandman and the Jagger took the mound.

In one touch up, it turned a shave that wouldn't meet DFS standard and turned it into a "hair under" a BBS.

I also mug lathered the Palmolive today. This is thick stuff, twice I added water and after the shave I loosened my head to wash any excess off. One more shave and I will have the mix down pat.

My thoughts r that the Lord Platinum just went dull quicker then on my Jagger. Hair was being cut, it could be heard throughout the house but I was left with a fine stubble. I will try a sharper blade on the Lord and see how it likes it.

    happy shaving.
