Wednesday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Rapira day 6 Noxzema SC Keri unscented moisturizer Booster Polar Ice AS JHL Cologne This wonderful shave was made possible by my favorite blade/razor/cream combination, and it felt so cooling and soothing. I must have said this at least a hundred times - the Noxzema cream is the only one I would rate 100%. To me it does everything perfectly. The Booster Polar Ice is a fantastic aftershave.
Jody, this cream is my number 1. When I finish off all my tubes of it I don't know what I'll do. As I'm sure you know, it was discontinued. I also love the Polar Ice aftershave.
Weds 26 October Been a little under the weather, so it was a quick one today Proraso white, tub Gillette Milord w/ Gillette 7O'Clock Permasharp (green) (D2) Berkley 46, face lather Alcolado Glacial, and Proraso ASB A quick three pass shave, DFS. I am sticking with the "give me some love" so I kept the gillette green and pulled out the proraso in the white tub. Very nice.
Wednesday Razor: Sprock Brush: New Forest 2213 Cream: D R Harris Arlington Post: Alum, Blue Stratos AS Great shave
Wednesday Razor: Merkur Alu Blade: Shark (3) Brush: Altesse Badger Soap: Col. Conk Lime A/S: Royall Bay Rhum I had major numbness in my right hand this morning, so I did what I always do when I have that -- I reached for my Merkur Alu. Today I just took the blade out of the Tech and put it in the Alu and left the Merkur Head on. Three passes to near BBS and a nice splash of the Bay Rhum (which I confess I don't use near often enough) and my day was off to a good start.
Wednesday: Expert Barber 400 6/8 EJ Best VDH Deluxe Witch Hazel Nivea Sensitive Balm Old Spice AS Splash It's been quite a long while since I've used the VDH soap. I was rummaging through the bathroom cabinet taking stock of what I had under the sink and found the bowl of it just waiting patiently. It delivered like it always has, insanely easy to lather and the skin care is just a point behind my beloved Palmolive stick and MWF.

Nope. Nope. Used that one yesterday. Kowa-bunga, Dude! <sigh> Oh, to be young again. hmmm... wonder how many other phrases from the cartoon realm I can recall for "Great shave"? There is one thing that makes me feel sorry for women - they grow up.
Wednesday, October 26, 2011 Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Razor: Merkur Progress XL Blade: Ladas Super Stainless Brush: EJ Best Soap/Cream: Erasmic Cream A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandalwood Toner First time with the Ladas blade--very nice, but subsequent shaves with the Ladas will give me a better basis for judging. It didn't have to work very hard this morning because yesterday's shave (Pre de Provence soap and Astra blade) left my face feeling pretty smooth all day. The Erasmic cream doesn't need as much water as many other creams, and the lather this morning was a little wetter than I prefer, but the shave was excellent anyway. The Ogallala BR & S provided a very nice finish.
