There ain't nothing better than to take a nice face-freezing shave on a cold fall morning, and believe me - the ISZ soap is by far the coldest damned thing I ever shaved with. It's so easy to lather up with, it smells nice, and it not only can give you the shivers, it also is so skin-friendly. The Diana Sport balm and the Penguin both freeze like a winter day in Northern Siberia! ;) :D

Razor: Fatip Grande Antrahcite [IMG] [IMG]
    Blade: Polsilver SI (1)
    Brush: Vie Long 13071
    Cream: Palmolive Cool

For the beginning of the week I choose new razor (Fatip) and new brush (Vie Long),which performed much better than expected! Absolutely easy shave with just 2 passes (WTG,XTG) near BBS! This razor definitely will be many times in my rotation!
Maybe my imagination, but it seems to me that I never achieves much smoother shave without any effort!

    Menthol Monday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Cleaning Gentle Scrub, Crown Co. Supreme Glide Pre-shave Lotion
    Brush: Beeline Boar
Soap: Ginger's Garden Grapefruit Mint Glycerin-in-a-jar
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (4)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG
Post: Cold water splash, Alum, cold water rinse, Dickinson's WH, Lucky Tiger Vanishing Menthol ASB

After a few days of 1 and 2 pass shaves, it was time to bear down and get the ATG pass in. The extra prep with the Neutrogena helped, I'm sure (it's a shame my face can't handle that as a daily treat), but I managed to catch that nick on my Adam's Apple again, making me briefly contemplate growing the world's strangest soul patch rather than slicing it every morning. Other than that, I got BBS results without any other irritation, and the Lucky Tiger chilled my cheeks and absorbed very nicely after a weekend with Pinaud. New razor blade installed for tomorrow, just in case it was a contributor to the slicing of the Apple.

    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim “6”
    Blade: Gillette 7 O’Clock Yellow SE (3)
    Brush: Omega 6192 Pure Badger

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

3rd shave with the Gillette 7 O’Clock Yellow SE in the Slim. I used the Stirling Scots Pine this morning. They both did anther great job: smooth, close, nick free. I finished with Old Spice and Nivea Post Shave Balm.

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: Weishi 9306
Blade: Derby Extra Stainless Steel (day 4)
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword
    Cream: Musgo Real Classic
    Passes: 3 (WTG x2 XTG)
Post: cold water, alum, Proraso blue cream

Either I'm getting used to the alum or my technique is improving, either way I'm not complaining. Lather could have been better today, but it worked well enough.

Another DFS from the last of the derby's, switching over to Merkur for the next few shaves...

    Brush: Parker synthetic
    Razor: Maggard m10
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Sharp Edge Yellow (2)
    AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite

Amazing! I cannot believe how much better this razor shaves the last two days than any time before. Yesterday my face still felt pretty smooth when I went to bed. Today, I got BBS after two passes and a little touch up!
Nice and smooth, no need for balms - the frostbite is all I needed!
    Have a great Monday![IMG]

Prep: Brush soaked in warm water, Homemade Cedarwood PSO
    Razor: EJ DE89L
    Blade: Astra (1)
    Cream: C.O. Bigelow
Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair 12705
Post: Master Astringent followed by Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm
    AS: Old Spice

I got rid of the Super-Max Blue Diamond blade and went back to the Astra. I haven't used an Astra in about 6 weeks while experimenting with other blades. I had forgotten what a good blade it is. It is definitely much sharper than the Super-Max and gave a very fine shave (DFS+). A great start to the week.
