This is the 2nd shave with this razor since I honed it and it was smoother than the 1st.
    End result was very clean.

No shave today and I feel dirty all over...thanks to all the well wishers it is appreciated.
I can feel this flu, or whatever it is, has just about run its course.
Some very nice shaves and equipment today Gentlemen, and Baby Girl !

On a brighter note (0ff topic) my dog has gone 5 days without having to have a pain shot,
It looks like the penicillin, pepcid AC and the drastic diet change have worked
Not out of the woods yet but the prognosis is good !

    Is it really November 2nd?

I selected the Lord today for the second straight day. There are a few balms, etc, because I had to take more passes then usual to attempt a BBS. That said, a great beginner's razor that can easily deliver a DFS. I just find it harder to get closer.

So today I went with a Ladas to see if that would help.

    Assorted Hot and Cold Soaks
    EBC Pre shave
    Vulfix 404 Brush
    Palmolive Lemon (India)
    Traveling Lord
    Ladas (1)
    EBC Witch Hazel
    TSD Bourbon Vanilla Milk
    Old Spice AS
    EBC Almond Balm
Caswell and Massey Jockey Club Talc-Love this stuff!

Today I went out after a BBS with the Lord. I loaded a Ladas and began to shave. It took me four passes and touch ups but I ultimately was able to achieve a BBS. I used a bit of Balm and made an audible for Aqua Velva to sooth the face from a shave and a half.

This razor has no problem delivering a DFS. Moving up to a BBS takes a little more work but I am glad I achieved it in my swan song shave. Now time for a two day soak in scrubbing bubbles and off to it's next shaver. Overall, a good razor.

What makes a better razor better...more effective at hair reduction, finer metals, and parts that fit together more smoothly. But this razor shaves really well and is a great place to start or finish.

    Thursday

EJ89 head on iKon extended tech handle
    Voskhod (day 2)
    Palmolive stick
Padauk wood brush with black badger knot
    alum
    witch hazel
    C.O. Bigelow elixir green

The EJ89 fell while hanging it back up. It fell about 7 feet to the tile floor. The post snapped off at the base of the head. So, my EJ 89 is no more. I guess I will be watching to the used markets on the forums for a replacement.

That's a bummer dude. Even if you have to buy a new one they are still very reasonable.

    Thursday 3 November

This should be the last of the legendary hotel bathroom photos for this week, as I am scheduled to head home tonight.

    Hot shower
    Proraso preshave
    Palmolive Stick
    Gillette Milord, w/ 7AM Platinum blade (D1)
Omega boar travel brush, face lather
Alcolado Glacial and Nivea Sensitive balm

I pulled out the old faithful of shave sticks this morning. The under-rated, underdog palmolive. Its a sleeper, it never fails to provide a great shave while travelling. I also pulled out a 7AM platinum stainless blade this morning. It was another leftover from a sampler pack a bought a while ago. I didn't remember anything about the blade so I assumed it was another in the ok but nothing special category. Well this morning this gave a very good shave, almost BBS, but not quite. DFS+. A great start to getting out of here.

Now I have to get some coffee, lots of coffee.
    Have a great day.

I will never be able to figure out how such a mild razor like my 1940's Super Speed can shave me so close and comfortable. The Tibet Forest Fresh which comes from Bangladesh has so much rich lather and a great cooling sensation, as well as a nice scent. I cannot say enough good things about the Svovoda balsam. ;)

Today I woke up way late and had no time to leisurely enjoy my shave.

It was definitely under 5 mins and turned out to be one of the better shaves I've had recently.
