I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Schick E3 and a Personna Stainless blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Technically this should go in yesterday's post. It was a Sunday evening shave. But I guess I might as well add to the new one!

Yes, I did something a little naughty and switched my cream from the TOBS Sandalwood half way through the month. But I won the newbie giveaway, got some samples and couldn't wait!

It is a little bittersweet. 3 facts about today's shave:

1. Musgo Reak Oak Moss leaves a stronger smell on my Omega than the TOBS. Which is ok, as it still smells of boar!

2. Smoothest shave I can ever remember having. Seriously. Better than any of my first few with the Tech or any across 10 years of cartridges. It feels excellent.

3. Unbelievable irritation. The word irritation doesn't even cut it. Around my neck was angry. Raging.

Two passes and touch ups did it though, and no weepers. Definitely improving

An awesome intensely-frigid shave to start off the week - my Glacial Black Cherry soap had me shivering for all three passes. My Plissoft synthetic whipped up tremendous lather which filled the bathroom with the lovely scent, and it didn't take even five seconds for that powerful menthol effect to kick in. The Glacial Unscented balm is absolutely superb and I'd better try to get some more Arctique aftershave because this bottle ain't gonna last too much longer!

Maya Monday
I am having a teach-in today to mark the day everything changed. Some of my students were not born yet on 9/11/01, and one was born that day. For them, this is as distant as Pearl Harbor is for me. I've spent the last week in my US history class having students compare 9/11 monuments and analyzing and comparing presidential speeches.

The performance of the soap is top notch. I'm still not sure of the scent yet. The aftershave burned a bit too much today, so I used Unconditional Surrender salve to put out the fire. My skin feels and smells great now.
