A very nice shave today with this Valet. It took a bit of fiddling to get the blade installed but not too bad. The results are worth the effort.

Nanny's French Lavender is very close in scent to MdC. The performance is superb but MdC gets the edge here. As far as price and ease of obtaining and acquiring a great soap. Nanny's wins hands down.

A new Personna blade in the Super Speed helped to give me an absolutely wonderful shave. I love the Romanian-produced Palmolive Cool cream so much - it's exactly the same as the Italian Menthol version, except that the tube is blue, instead of green, and that it's only 65 grams, instead of 100 grams. I did 3 passes again, so I could enjoy and savour all of the menthol goodness. :biggrin:

How does it work out with putting balm and splash on? Do you apply the balm, wash it off, then apply the splash?

 

I don't put the splash on my face. I splash it on my chest and shoulders.

A great shave overall. No complaints.
*I'm on the last of this coffee; just a couple more post left. I roasted up some Kenya Safari Ridge yesterday. I'll let it rest a few days before I grind it. Can't wait!

First shave with the Gillette Tech that arrived via mail this morning (and underwent a thorough grunge removal process with scrubbing bubbles and a toothbrush). I loaded it with a new Shark SS and had a DFS. I got it because of reports that it wasn't an overly aggressive razor, and it met my expectations. I like it!
