Thanks. Your I1 posts were the inspiration for my current rotation. I love this razor. It is a wonderful shaver.

    Smooth but tender
I got a nice smooth close shave today, but a tender neck, too. I guess I went too fast with my New again... I'm still working on that. During the shave everything felt great, perhaps that made me speed up a bit. The WSP whipped up nicely and the Gondolier smells great.

I started a new Glacial Lemon Chill puck - geezz, I can't believe how quickly I went through the first one and I'd better start to show some restraint because if not, I'll finish this one also in record time. It lathers so beautifully and gives me its lovely lemony/menthol scent with such a powerful face-freeze and awesome skincare. The Rubby Dubby Doo completed that freeze so nicely for me to make this shave a frigid delight. The Sharp blade is still performing well on its third day - no complaints so far. ;) :D

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: WW2 Gillette Tech
    Blade: BIC (day 4)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Soap: Margaritas in the Arctic
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Dove men hydrate+

Been getting some great shave from this setup. Today was no different. Two pass DFS with zero irritation or nicks. I'm still only getting that menthol effect on the second pass and it was pretty mild today, time to grab another soap I think.

    Prep: Warm shower, Cetaphil Lotion
Razor: EJ DE89 w/ Weber Classic Handle
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue (1)
    Lather: Arko Shave Soap
    Brush: Oscar11 w/ Omega 20248 Knot
    Post: Witch Hazel, Cetaphil Lotion
    Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman

My shave yesterday left me quite tender on the neck and I would have liked to skip the shave today. However, my job requires that I shave daily, so I forged ahead. I decided to use my EJ89 because I have mastered my technique with it and knew that I could get a smooth, easy shave with it. I love Arko soap and don't know why I don't use it more often. It performs as well as any soap out there. I finished off my BBS shave with Pinaud Clubman, another outstanding product I haven't used in a while.

    Have a great day!

    9/17/2014 Williams Week

Prep: Hot shower with L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette Senator, H. Boker & Co Master Razor straight razor
Blade: Pol Silver Super Iridium (3)
Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair 23mm knot
    Soap: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk after shave

I soaked the Williams while I took a shower. I tried bowl lathering the Williams today. It came out a little airy but it was slick enough. The Boker and the Senator made short work of the whiskers this morning. I ended up with an almost BBS face for my efforts.

    Have a blessed day!!

    WEDNESDAY
A pleasant 3-pass shave with a restored Wostenholm IXL. The Stirling provided a deep chill throughout the shave with a mega-helping of menthol, despite the rather thin lather.
My face afterwards still has a refreshing tingle to it for some time. :)
Have a great Hump Day, everyone!
