Today's shave was with a Newly Acquired, Restored, and Honed razor. I had a Buttery Smooth 2 pass shave, with BDBS results. Zero issues, just smoothness all around.

Razor- Wade & Butcher 7/8th, Sheffield
Brush- JR#262, Birdseye Maple/Ebony, WD Silvertip Knot
Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Lighthouse Decanter.

 

Is that the same olive wood Thäter? It's even more beautiful in this photo. Did you give the handle a coat of lacquer?

My computer prevented me from being silly here-I tried to capitalize the midde 3 letters of Wednesday,(small letters otherwise), and my machine called me a wiseguy.

Sink of cool water
hot soaked brush
soaked williams puck
squirt of omega cream
dollar tree razor
atomic razor
woody's a/s
patchouli cologne
sandalwood colgne

face wash with warm water.
whipped up a mug of lather and applied
started off with the dollar tree razor and noticed one of the doors had some travel since I overtightened the razor yesterday
did one pass with a lot of skipping/blade chatter
switched to the atomic razor with an old derby in it and had a pass so smooth I had to stop and look at the razor to be sure there was a blade in it.lol.then did a touchup.
I'll have to use the williams -omega mix with the atomic tomorrow
cold water rinse
application of woody's with a bit more patchouli and sandalwood cologne added to it.the woody's seems to smother the alcohol type splash colognes so this mix was still a pretty weak one.But the woody's light syrup/soother consistency really toned down the irritation from the blade chatter.
than went off to meet SWMBO for lunch

Finished my workday with GrubHub, which means the other side of the Missouri River. So a bit later arrival back home, late dinner and finally to the shave. By that time I had fallen into the temporal anomaly that is becoming more common at times. The shave for the 11th, on the 12th, but talked about like I'm still back there instead of up here. Not confusing at all.

Change in razor to the 1914 Ever Ready. Some consider this a Lather Catcher but it is more akin to the 1912 Gem than the true LC razors. Still a fine shaver and the blade was a continuation of the Treet I've been using. Shave number 4 and it is still smooth. One minor ding where I cut myself last night but that wasn't much of a problem. None to speak of, really. Just an oopsie. The finish is near-BBS and the Ice from the Iced Coffee is still adding a nice little freeze to the effect. Mmmmmm....mmmmm... good.
