Doug, it appears that when it comes to Barbershop-scent products, you and I are similar in that we'll use two different brand names for our soap/A.S., just so long as they have that barbershop scent. (With me, it's my combination of Stoylin B-shop soap, and Clubman aftershave).
Some terrific shaves with my newest addition the Rockwell 6s. I've been very happy with the results. I think the 6s has captured the efficiency of the futor coupled with the comfort of the tech. I'll post more along the way. I'm lovin the 6s so far. Hope y'all have done as well, or better.
SEptember is a Stirling month! September 15 Razor - 1912 Gem Blade - (2) Soap - Stirling Iced Pineapple Brush - Stirling Pro Style Synthetic Finish - Alum Another "on time" shave and report before I head out into the mean streets for the night. Ok, so they aren't that mean but it sounds better than saying I'm going on drunk patrol. I switched razors to the Gem 1912. Obviously closely related to the 1914 but something between the LC and 1914 style. Second shave on the Treet Super blade. The big Stirling brush and Iced Pineapple for an absolutely delightful lather. I put it on thick just so the scent lasts longer after the shave. Three full passes and once again the baby is home. Might have brought a friend with him. It's that smooth. The blade was perfect and this razor is a bit more noisy than the 1914. I like that in a vintage SE. Not even a tingle from the alum. It's all good, perfect really, and a great break in the "middle" of my Saturday. Hope you enjoyed the football today if you were watching and here's to a great night and an even better Sunday!

SE Sunday's Shave Cold Water Wash Eureka Shaving Soap Jayaruh #314 Heljestrand Safety Razor Heljestrand Wedge CWR FD Old Spice AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Eureka Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #314 badger brush. I did two passes with the Heljestrand Safety Razor with a Heljestrand Wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with FD Old Spice AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Superb Sunday After taking a day off shaving to let my cut heal, today was epic. This brush is really something special - it is much much better than the other badger I've used - a Simpson Colonel. I did not realize the difference between best and 2 band - a huge improvement! Very soft but with lots of backbone.
