The Shannon's Soaps Indigo Oud Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #41 Two-band badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette New Standard (1921) Razor and the Gillette Super Blue Blade X3 (14) gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My father-in-law was surprised when I told him that I didn’t use the original Shulton Old Spice soap and aftershave - this Cold Spices stuff is a great copy except for the menthol in it. The lather from this soap is excellent if you leave your brush relatively wet and the skincare is pretty good. The Gold Bond moisturizer is also very cooling as well as soothing, and the Cold Spices aftershave went on good and chilly. Three passes cleaned me up fantastically - another awesome BBS shave that was so pleasurable!

SLANTember, Thursday, Sept 26th 2024

Razor : Razorock German 37 slant. Mfg 2016> tame mid range. Great deal for a slant with a SS handle when purchased 7 years ago. I received my first true BBS with a GSB blade with this razor. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette 7oClock SP black (3) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier, very nice scented soap that turns my crank first thing in the morning excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi" Moka Express" 26 mm synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, luxury splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. The handle and knot are proto type combination and was lucky to see it on damage brushes that went on sale.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel soap residual cleanse + Yaqi Musketeer + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my RR German 37 slant with a 7 oClock black blade.

This Iceberg Island is one of the newer Glacial scents released this past spring and I LOVE it. It smells MAGNIFICENT - it’s an exact copy of the Virgin Island Water from Creed. The soap provided so much thick, rich, super slick lather with a monstrous menthol sensation and such a soothing postshave feeling. The Gold Bond moisturizer works so well as a balm, and the Glacial Iceberg Island aftershave icy cold menthol kick felt so heavenly not to mention that its gorgeous scent lasts all day. What a great three pass BBS shave this was!

SE SOTD, September 27th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316 SSP SE with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023> mild to tame mid range depending on what Feather AC blade used or shim added. 6/1000 shim works well for myself if I want a smoother shave IMO. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain titan mild (9) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity with the Romulus razor!
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier, additive scent( similar to Aramis classic cologne?) with excellent lather qualities.
Brush :Yaqi "Panda bear" 24mm tuxedo knot synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Bought this on a live sale a couple of years ago on a whim and it turned out to be a nice brush.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel beard cleanse of soap residual + Yaqi Musketeer Rapier slash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE razor with a Kai CTM blade.
