Pre-shave: Marinated in Proraso Pre-Shaving Cream, Warm shower
Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable @ 9
    Blade: Astra SP
    Brush: Muhle Black Fiber
Soap/Cream: MWF, KMF Unscented, Glycerin :love029:
A/S: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Bar, Witch Hazel, Proraso Splash, Pre de Provence Balm

Was a little nervous trying the adjustable at 9, but turned out to be a smooth, nick free shave. BBS! :)

This is a bit late...but oh well.

    Saturday night

Parker SR1 (most of the first pass)
GEM OCMM (finish the first and passes 2&3)
    The Colonel
    TSD SOTQ (new one)
    Lucido AS
    Proraso ASB

The Parker is feeling a bit better in my hands. I didn't have the confidence to do my chin or top lip, so I decided to use the GEM before I did some damage. The shave went fairly well, I haven't used the OCMM for quite some time, so ended up shaving a few spots a little too clean. Once it was done I put on the Lucido and them followed with the Proraso ASB. That cured all irritation and damage to my face. I was able to wake up this morning with a BBS and even now, 24 hrs later, it feels like the 5 o'clock shadow is starting to kick in. I love SEs! ;)

Face Wash: Nivea Moisturizing Face Wash
    Pre-Shave Lather: Maca Root SC
    Pre-Shave Oil: T&H Ultimate Comfort Pre-Shave Oil
Shave Lather: Mystic Water Sandalwood Shave Soap
    Razor: Merkur 38M
    Blade: SuperMax Platinum (2)
    Brush: Semogue 1305
Post: Witch Hazel/Rum/Aloe/Glycern mixture followed by Kistna ASB by The Body Shop

What a great way to end the weekend! This the first time using the SuperMax Platinum blade and it completely took me by surprise. If it keeps up like this for the rest of this blade and the next, it will rival the Voskhod as my top blade. I had read reviews and the general consensus was that this one was ok but the SuperMax Super Platinum was much better. It will be interesting to see how the two compare for me.

Then the soap...MW Sandalwood. I've tried the sandalwood scents for TOBS soap, T&H cream and GFT cream and the MW sandalwood, to me, is the best smelling of them all. it's also the only one that doesn't irritate my face. When this sample is done, I'll have to consider getting a puck.

You know what you lot are with your lovely photos and enthusiastic descriptions? Just a great big bunch of dang enablers! WKN with that gorgeous butterscotch handled Schick and his MWF (got some MWF on the way), Stroker with the Pashana Original, Aqua Velva IB and that gorgeous Slim (got a '64 on the way and both those AS are very tempting), Fishcrow, Neolithium and Azarius with those stunning Semogue OCs (those brushes are even better boars than me). Also Azarius with his British Sterling and that lovely Cadet OC & Jagger handle combo. I have that Jagger handle (brother has it on loan) but wonder of you can get just the Cadet head on its own? Also is the Cadet head chromed or nickel plated?

This place is costing me money! And to think I got into DE shaving because the blades cheaper and I thought I'd save a fortune..........

    :D

    Llyr Stay frosty, my friends!

Ahh The RUB,as per the bottle it's a Invigorating Splash for face and head! The scent is medicinal and fades rather quick, actually the blast lasts longer than the scent,so you can use any cologne or edt you want.I'm not a expert on Aqua Velva,I need to get a bottle and check it out.I know I've tried it back in the day but I dont remember if I liked it or not.

    Yeah, we've all been there.

DE shaving is so cheap... Yeah, until you're hooked. More razors, more blades, more brushes, more soaps, creams, preshaves, aftershaves, bowls, scuttles... Poor sod. You're lost! :D
