I've only had a handful of shaves with the Taylor's 3000 since I fully restored the razor, and It's quickly becoming one of my favourite razors a super smooth and close shave.

The Italian Palmolive Menthol cream smells so nice and delivers such great lather and its awesome freezing effect. For those who cannot tolerate strong menthol, a warning - the combination of the Diana Sport balsam and the Osage Rub will be very uncomfortable for you. I love it, but not everyone is a menthol junkie like me! ;) :D

I've been on a streak of really good shaves, this morning wasn't an exception. Close and smooth, very enjoyable. Have a good one.

Shave of the Day (SOTD) Wednesday September 5, 2012
    [IMG]
Prep: Brush soaking in ice water, face wash with Noxzema Triple Clean, cold shower
    Razor: Edwin Jagger DE86L
    Blade: Rapira Super Stainless (4)
    Brush: Semogue 820 Boar
    Cream: Lea Sensitive Cream
    AS: British Sterling
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Splash Of Aftershave.

Four shaves is about as far that I can push a Rapira, although it only gave the slightest amount of tugging. I just do want to
push it, so the blade has been expired after this shave.

I just cannot make up my mind on which Semogue that I like the best. I really love the 1438, but I must admit that the 820 today
was an outstanding performer. Now that it is full broken in I think it has a slight edge in softness over the 1438, although the 1438 has more backbone.

I never thought that I would want more than one or two brushes, but I keep seeing some of the other Semogue boars and know
that this addiction is just beginning.

The Lea creams have now anchored themselves as part of my rotation, completely knocking out the Prosaso and Bigelow menthol from my den.

As much as I love my open combs, I am making an effort to use use of my other DE's more often. The EJ often gets ignored, yet every time I shave with it, I think, wow this was really a good shave.

Floid Vigoroso mixed with a small amount of 444 :love029: :love029: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

Yesterday turned out to be new razor day for me,so instead of the Slim I used the Cadet TP27 OC.I must say right out of the box I could tell it was very well made, nice heft and good balance. The plating is also better than the chrome FaTip.The head resembles a FaTip but I feel the Cadet shaves smoother and more efficient than the FaTip,it also has better feedback.Does it shave better than my Joris 1912T,hell no,but it's still a great shave and for the price one of the best shaving bargains out there.

So. 8 days, 1 edge. Still DFS++, close to BBS. For me the Shake Sharp works!
I had to get accustomed to the different balance, but it is a really nice shaver!

Tomorrow I'll switch to shaves with a vintage blade & the 5 second sharpener.

    See ya!

I continue my 'straights all the way' journey, so yesterday was no exception. Heavy strength workout, legs like jelly and hands shaking badly. The concentration is the name of a game and I just LOVE it!

Although the quality of shave decreases, it is still very enjoyable. It is a very unique feeling of success when you finish such shave without nicks but with DFS result. In honor of our dads and grandpas who knew what the real work is!
