    Monday

Prep: Marinade 30 min. w/ TSD ISZ PSB, hot shower with 4 drops M Bomb in my shampoo, soak brush, hand strop blade
    Coffee: Home roasted Tanzania, BLACK
Soap: Ogalalla Creamy Bay Rum and Sweet Orange + 3 drops M Bomb
    Brush: Vulfix 404, The Grosvenor
Razor: 1958 Gillette TV SS, 52 years old this quarter!
Blade: Wilkinson, day 1, 3+ passes
Post: Cold water rinse, Humphreys Maravilla Lotion +2 drops M Bomb, ice water splash, Ogalalla Bay Rum AS/Skin Toner, hand strop blade and put in tomorrow's razor
'Stache Wax: Steve's Own (yup, made it myself this morning! :bounce015)

    Shave Rating: 5 Blades

Other mornings this exact shave would have only received a 4, but as the rating includes many things, I give it a 5. The soap smelled exceptionally nice this morning, the M Bomb was THEE BOMB for the entire shower/shave experience, my 'stache wax turned out as good as I had hoped, AND today's a day off!! :happy069

    Enjoy the long weekend, everybody!

    Mentholated

Is the "Menthol Mondays" thread unofficially retired?

    pre-shave hot/wet towel
    Unscented soap
    Dovo 6/8 "Best Quality"
    alum (armpit scented)
    Aqua Velva

The scent was missed during the shave, functioning to increase the anticipation and excitement for the sting and refreshing cool of the menthol. Very nice shave.

    Lord Platinum (1)

    IvyClub Spice

Another good shave with the pre-war tech. I switched to a Lord Platinum which seems a bit sharper and a little less smooth then the RP Personna. Three pass and no touch up for DFS that was probably 85% BBS. I am going to have to spend some more time with the Tech and some clones. The ones I have used so far really do deliver high quality shaves.

How do you like that brush? Which knot do you have in it? I picked up one of the mixed knot versions for my father and he loves it enough that he got a second one for his travel kit.

A long hot shower did not coax out any the arthritis stiffness this morning.
A great shave that followed made the day start great.

While showering my Parker Badger Brush was soaking in warm water. My Omega shave creme was warming in the sink.

After my shower I loaded the badger brush with a mound of Omega shaving creme. My razor choice today was a Fat Handle Tech with an Irrudaim blade.

Two passes no weepers, no nicks, end result BBS. Followed with Aqua Blue Vela and then Canoe Balm. Then a spray of Avon Wild Country.

    Razor: Jaggerooney
    Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
    Brush: Grosvenor LE
    Soap: TSD Jelly Doughnut
A/S: Generic Witch Hazel, Speick Splash

I have accumulated several glycerine soaps over the past few years that have not been getting much use. I thought it would be fun to have a personal "Glycerine Week" (Monday through Saturday, anyway) this week. Today's shave was DFS and irritation-free--I certainly can't argue with a good shave. But what aftershave would go well with the Jelly Doughnut scent? I don't have an A/S with a coffee fragrance, so went with the all-purpose Speick. And no, my face isn't sticky.:D I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning's glycerine shave!

I have the boar/badger mixed knot. It's breaking in quite nice. I like it.
