But yet pasta is always best right after it’s prepared, imo. Gayle liked leftover spaghetti, but not me… Years long observation suggests that it continues to absorb moisture and becomes spongey and mushy. Not a fan. It’s fresh made or no thank you.

I have my spaghetti one meal at a time. No leftovers.

I agree, leftover spaghetti is well, less than ideal.

Tom yum (spicy Thai shrimp soup) is another favorite although I do not make it myself.

If the spaghetti is good, I never have to worry about leftovers. :eatdrink020:

We just had a delicious broccoli and cheddar soup for dinner tonight. Other favorites around here are split pea, bean and ham, German tomato, and butternut squash curry.

Clam chowder - New England style, of course.

Becky made up a pot of hamburger soup last night. Delicious. It'll be even better tonight!

Or the green pepper stuffed soup is delicious also. Soups what's for dinner. I'm having one tonight but I don't know what it's called. The problem is: I'm the chef. :D

I would have to say that would be for New York Clam Chowder(actually, I just DID say that, lol).

I love tomato bisque. I will often add shredded carrots, couscous & some Italian chicken sausage if I have it. Leftover chicken is another thing I may put in.

    What is bisque, Sara?

Bisques are cream-based soups. Often, but not always, they may be flavored with some type of wine. I used to love shrimp or lobster bisques, before I developed an allergy to them.

Allergies? Well if that don't beat all. I'm fond of all the cream based foods and all but my doctor tells me I'm not as svelte as he'd prefer me to be.:D

Thanks :) I’d probably like that - the wine part. I wonder if you could substitute stout for wine… might be delish! Now that I know it’s called ‘bisque,’ we once had a make-me-weak-in-the-knees potato bacon cheese bisque. They called it potato soup. It was righteous. Gayle said it had a month’s worth of fat in the one serving :D We haven’t been there in a good 5-6 years. It was certainly pre-pandemic. Just thinking about it now I want more. You know… the bar (yes) is still there. I think I’ll head there soon. Real soon. Like maybe, next week soon. Thanks for a good enabling :happy088:
