I recently bought a cube of soap from Hydrolast and have been using my hand a the bowl. Of course this works but I prefer to use a bowl to get a more consistent mix each time. I have considered whittling down the corners of the cube but would rather not go with that option. What are you using for a square container? Suggestions? Below should be a picture of the cube IMG_0063.jpg

I have never used a square soap before, but if I had to deal with that, I'd mill it with a cheese grater and press it into a round bowl.

Now that is a thought. A little water and some compression will eliminate all void spaces!

No that is a good question. Yes it is a shave soap sold by www.hydrolast.com. I just ordered some of Charles Roberts' items and it is a pretty good shave

Very interesting product line. How do you like the soap and how does it lather up?

I do like the soap and it does lather nicely once you learn get used to the soap. I wil say that it is a pretty fast soap for shaving, nicely paired with a feather blade.

What is a "fast" soap for shaving?

I thought the preferred term was now "morally uncomplicated." :D

I would say that fast is equivalent to slick. The soap seems slicker than other soaps such as Art of Shaving.

Gotcha. Just never heard the term applied soap.
    I'll stick with "slick."

    Interesting line of products
Think I would pass on the Burlap shave cloth for $10 ...:lyrtuy5:
    The soaps are intriguing though.

You could always find someone who is good with wood or clay to make you one that fits your soap.
