*DONE* Starter Kit PIF

Let the PIFapalooza continue...

I've been thinking about doing a couple of PIFs for a while and finally decided just to combine them and offer it all up. So, without further adieu, I am pleased to offer this:


First, we have not one but two razors.

The razor on the left is the older version of the Baili clone of the Tech. I've never actually shaved with this one but it looks to be a nice, well-made clone of the 60s Tech. Brand new.

The razor on the right is the classic pre-War Gillette Tech. It's a user-grade one with some chipping of the nickel plating on the cap and a lot of plate loss on the handle. I've always had a short spot for these razors and am a firm believer that everyone should own one.

Next up is the Van derHagen Premium Shave Set. This is the same one that many of us started with, including the iconic green bowl and infamous Boar brush. The brush gets a bad rap for shedding but, in truth, those issues don't show up if you adequately soak the brush. This set came from a Clearance at my local Walgreens.

Finally, I'll throw in a couple of tucks of my favorite blades.

The laptop is not included, but if the winner has that big a love for the Dell D-series, we can talk.

In short, this should be a decent starter kit for yourself or your favorite newbie.

I'll keep this one open until around 9:00 PM EST, next Monday (9 April). Even though this is a starter kit, I know that a lot of you are enablers/missionaries, so my only restriction will be to keep this CONUS-only.

Yep! I love the blue and green bowl. I still use it when I have soap samples.

Not in, got plenty newby fodder for the moment, it all seems to find homes. Some new shaver will come to love that beautiful pre- war tech.

That is a great starter kit. Not in. What I need is a stopper kit. HA! Just kidding. Like the Energizer Bunny I keep on going...

I started with the VDH kit and it was fine for me. Nice razors too.

So glad to see the Pre-war Tech; awesome razor, I have six or seven. Great PIF, but not in.
